I think that the age gap can be important but it depends (actually it's way more chocking to see a 15 years old person with a 25 years old than a 25 YO with a 35 YO and still the age gap is the same.) To me it's a matter of maturity. When it comes to underaged people (less than 17-18), I think that the age gap is weird because those young people are not mature enough and I don't get the interest that some 25 YO dude or woman could have on a 16 YO teenager... But, If there's love, no abuse or manipulation well it's okay even if I don't like this idea for myself, I won't condamn it. Our French president met his wife at 15 (she was around 40) and he's still with her know ( I find it somehow gross but well it worked because they're still together now lmao

As for the series, Barcode knew (and his parents too) that he was gonna be paired with Jeff so if it bothered them, he wouldn't have taken the role ! And he's almost 18 it's not like if he was 14 or 15 Y.O. And we're not even sur to have kissing scene or whatever
