Ok....I have completed this series and it is average. The acting isn't the best but I do not recognize these faces…
Most of the actors are rookies, but Kad who plays Pat has been in a bunch of things. I know him from Gen Y, which was a mess of a show. Maybe he just isn't given good direction.
I'm only on episode 5 and I'm convinced Elyes is secretly a vampire and he doesn't want Pat to leave cause he sired him. Why else are these two so damn pale?! Every day scene they are the palest people I've ever seen and it's not just makeup. When the other characters were saying Elyes & Pat doesn't look good, were they sick, I'm trying to figure out how you could tell they both always look like that! The only time we see their actual skin tone is at night. Not even Kim or the new assistant are that pale.
I enjoyed watching the show while it was airing, I looked forward to each episode. But I couldn't stop comparing it. I almost wanted to do a side by side comparison at times. Some changes I adored (car vs bathroom stall, Arashi being the lone hero). The race track being in the middle of no where was the best change, I never understood the logistics of closing down a whole highway. I really like Nagumo Shoma (Arashi). I loved Nagatsuma Reo as Kai, he was really good at holding hidden pain in his facial expressions. Overall I'm rating it a 7, as an adaptation it wasn't great, but I really enjoyed the show and in the end that's all that matters.
I love that everyone is ride or die for North & Johan, but I'm still not even sure they have chemistry. They have so little screen time and most of it is spent with Johan bullying North that I'm so confused as to why Ter is shipping them.
I guess I'll need to read the book, cause if the other couples are this bad, I won't watch season 2.
But also these 2 writers both worked on We Are, which I thought was a masterpiece in handling multiple couples. I know the episode numbers are different, but every time the friends are on screen I've completely forgotten who they are.
Oh boy this show. I'm so disappointed I think I watched a third of the finale, I kept fast forwarding through so much. First they should have picked a storyline cause they did not pull off mixing the mythical & modern day storylines. I still don't think I know what the naga storyline was actually about. I prefered Sam & Yo over Lin & Sun. Mos & Bank deserve so much better than this.
My only complaint is it should have been longer (at least 2 more episodes). I would have loved to see the second half of Moo being a pop star be dragged out a bit more and then to see the couples lives juggling personal and professional lives. They could have had a whole episode showing the struggle of maintaining both and how the industry and fans react to their lack of dating bans. It could have been a social commentary about shipping and forcing idols to not date.
Am I the only one that is feeling off for the Phum/Peem relationship ? I started this drama for them but it seems…
Yeah, they are very quickly becoming the second couple. Like the show was marketed for the Pond Phuwin fans but it's actually a Winny Satang show. Which I'm not mad at, I actually prefer them. I like Pond, but Phuwin's characters always come off as whiney to me. Which I dont blame him, I blame gmmtv for always putting him in those roles.
I really liked this drama (I also like open endings). It kinda sucked that everyone around the couple seemed against their relationship ideas, but I think this show could actually be a great conversation starter, cause in rl when you try something different there are usually a good amount of people don't understand you. This really reminded me of the Spanish film Angels of Sex (2012).
I love this show so much, it fills me with such warm & fuzzies. While I adore Sun & Ongsa, Aylin is definitely my favorite character and her awkward attempt at asking out Luna was just so adorable. The teachers! Oh, I have loved Godji & Golf from other roles, but they are so perfect in this show and to see how their characters compliment each other so well 😊. The only negative was that awkward as heck Ton & Chareon interaction, I could do with less of them and more of the others.
I'm finding this show really charming, there's some parts that drag a bit and Pun being unaware of things like the train system I found a little weird. Overall it's fun and cute, and I really hope the villainous Somchai gets to be a real threat and not just a nag.
"Do not open your umbrella inside the railway station". Lmao 🤣 this is like the apex of the show.//Then proceeds…
The "no open umbrella in the station" made me think it was a foreshadowing to bad luck ahead. Like don't step under a ladder or break a mirror. But I may be reading too much into it. 😆
