This caused productions that had already been signed and shot to go into be scrapped. Because they had "foreign" SK men ending up with the female. China's public security authority actually issued a warning against watching Korean dramas. They also (at one point) banned all foreign dramas/sitcoms unless they were completed and subtitled. So stuff that had multiple seasons or currently airing was a no-go. This encouraged more high-priced productions to complete projects ahead of air date, instead of the "shoot as while airing" method. Scarlet Heart Ryeo was one of the first to do so. Things started to relax a little but current (pre-covid)US and S.Korean trade/political dealings aren't helping and have caused many SK fan meetings and concerts to be canceled or not allowed at all. It's why they could only be seen at award shows. I don't think BTS has had a concert date in Mainland China ever.

So, this is why Rain's drama Diamond Lover changes weirdly, Jade Lovers will probably never see the light of day, Huge advertising contracts where canceled and other collaborative projects were straight out nixed.
This drama is trying too hard to be smart. The editing is terrible and the color/lighting is distracting; sets the tone for "dark" when the editing is falling short. If this were a dark comedy, everything would make sense. The story could be salvaged if they made "Uncle" and "Earnest Cop" the male leads as their interactions with the FL are all that's going on. She even has more chemistry, now, with the loan shark...No matter how many times they want to "remind" us about the OTP in flashbacks. There are plenty of dramas out there where the leads have no scenes together for episodes and we are still convinced they are supposed to be together. This drama isn't giving us that and who cares about the political/corporate shizz...... Dropped.

The "plot" is still yet to be determined as we've gone from revenge against the Boss Chick, To revenge against runaway con-hubby, to revenge against unknown killer. I though we were doing fine three plots ago with a potential "Mr &Mrs Smith" gong on with the two con artists not knowing both were pulling cons toward the same goal. Kinda disappointed in the non-growth of the FL, the "uncle" that's teetering on the line of almost being sleezy,and the weird creepy arsonists that everyone knows about but act like he's hard to find.

That's a lesson that "uncle-not-uncle "should've taught first. Even Cop Innocent can see through her. And I agree with other posters, the cop and FL would make a better drama. I can easily see a Tom and Jerry situation that could make a more exciting storytelling
