Maybe it's just CP fan of poj who can’t move on or jobless haters talking, but anyone who watched Story of Kunning Palace knows how well he brought Xie Wei to life. That role alone proved he has the range, intensity, and screen presence to deliver a complex character. Not every role will hit the same for everyone, but saying he can't act is simply not true. This fandom tends to be very alert when it comes to assumptions because Esther Yu has received a lot of unnecessary hate over the years, so people can be protective and react quickly when they feel conclusions are being drawn without enough information.
