Well honestly, drama like LCR is hard to promote considering the market in china...plus tencent didn't exactly plan to air it so early... A romance drama is always easier...CP promotion can hit fast easily...but for LCR they cannot do CP promotion, so it is hard...it is all serious promotion...which of course will not sell as much...

I personally never take MDL rating seriously...I never understand how it works...there are some users trying to understand the statistics because they have their own formulation to count average ratings based on the overall ratings, viewers (either you are watching, dropping, etc), rating per episode, etc... And I have also found some dramas with rating <8 to my liking...and some dramas with rating almost 9 not to my liking...so, I then decided the rating is something to ignore. Also, not to mention there will always some haters or people who will rate low just because they hate the actors/actresses or simply they don't want any shows to compete with their currently airing shows...
I am a sucker for family relationship and conflicts...and this drama is my doomsday...I have been crying my heart out...damn it...LB and LY relationship are gems...and I love these two so much...

Well, if I were Youku, that's exactly the reason I want to fight, hehe. XZ drama is highly anticipated because of XZ...but I also read people don't like the FL...typical stupid and cute FL...
I love how there is no perfect character in this drama! No ML as knight in shining armor who is perfect, kind, rich, cool, wise, smart etc. No FL who is nice, kind, pretty, rich, etc. Our ML is full of flaws...he has his temper, his unwise thinking, selfishness etc. Our FL is broken, not warm, prejudice, and not the type who dress up elegantly and super fancy.
And all other characters too! I mean, I thought LY will be the most lovable and near perfect...but then LY also showed her childishness, her immature act etc... But, this is what I love about the show in term of character development! It feels real, and relatable!
WuQian did pretty well with her face expression...she somehow managed to maintain her usual 'resting bitch' face...but also inserted some 'withheld' smiles...so natural!
