From people who have read the novel, it seems to be happy ending. I am not sure if there are bad people trying to break them up, but this couple were not even in love to each other at the beginning, they both had hidden agenda to destroy each other...So, I think this will be more like enemy to lover kind of set up.

Even CWN and SM (not that part!), they seem distant but they kinda respected each other and had boundary...CWN really protected SM and set up a path based on his skill...and SM had always admired and respected CWN ...
