i would say it used to be societal views and probably still is to an extent but they are becoming more open to mixed marriages now - probably because they see more divorces now than before.

Don't forget, Ji Ho knows about the call his mom made to Jae In telling her Eun Ho could meet her. That kid has heard a lot living in that nest of vipers. Yu Gyeong needs to come completely clean with Jae In now - she knows much more than she is telling.

I am afraid he does still have some feeling s but i seriously hope they do NOT get together. They share a son, doesnt mean they have to share a life together.

They can try to redeem her but she has back stabbed Jae In so many times, Philip, Seung woo, her own son - to me there is no coming back from that. If she had just not believed in Jae in once or twice and then supported her, I could let it go but she has done too many things that is just abhorrent. And the way she offers money for every thing! Money cannot bring back a dead father, husband, daughter, son! She is disgusting the way she thinks money is going to be any consolation.

I do think we are def getting a noona romance - Seung Woo and Yu Gyeong will end up together.

but we can appreciate how far she has come by knowing where she was at the beginning - if you skip, you miss out on that.

I dont think she loves Gi Chan - there are two ways I can look at this:
1. She only wanted him because he was married to Jae In (that is if you believe he married Jae In first and only met Se Ri at their wedding) OR
2. She is using him to extract her revenge - she met him first, "married him" (while already married to husband #1?) , and they concocted a plan for him to take over the YL Group by marrying into the Kang family.

I tend to lean toward the 2nd scenario - we still do not know much about when exactly they met (Jae In has said they met at her's and Gi Chan's wedding but I find it hard to believe he would get married then rush to the US in time to have an affair and get another woman pregnant so close to the date of his consummation with his new wife and her subsequent pregnancy as well) - so that means there could be a whole story of them meeting. The only reason I lean toward this scenario is because of what Gi Chan said to Jae In the day he had her committed to the asylum - "Your FIRST mistake was marrying me." That implies she was targeted.

All of that said, she needs a way to get rid of him too when she gets YL Group from him - her ultimate goal is to have it all! She doesnt want him, she wants the company. That is all that is left for her to take control of that belongs to the Kang family.

Don't skip episodes - too much gets resolved quickly to skip. This is one drama that you can miss a LOT in if you start skipping around.

Mom senses her son is very interested in Jae In - she noticed how he has been looking at her and then holding her hand with the ice on it - mom knows. But yeah, the whole "You MUST marry someone who has never been married before" trope is so archaic.

She is developing Alzheimer's - even to the point of hallucinating.

I think this show is going to have to kill her off because she is completely unhinged - she has already been involved in 2 deaths - probably more. She is psychotic.

This drama just keeps getting better and better. Loved seeing Jae In punch that scumbag right in his eye.

What is it with the Korean mom's not wanting their kids to be involved with anyone who has been married before? Her own daughter was a single mom - you'd think she would be more open to letting them find love again, no matter if they had been married before or not! How would she have felt if her daughter had fallen in love but the other mother wasn't accepting of her because she had a child already? Just really really odd, imo.

I saw her in Don't Disturb My Study and have been a fan ever since.

I just thought it was weird how his mom acted at the dad's memorial service - maybe i am reading too much into it.

Because it is a K-Drama LOL Anything is possible.
