I can’t explain the law here because to me it’s a bit complicated. It use to be that Koreans with the same surname and from the same ancestral clan could not marry but those laws changed in the 90s. I don’t believe there would be anything to prevent them from marrying as TK and MY don’t share any blood relation so it wouldn’t be like a brother and sister marrying a brother and sister from another family. While DW and YD are blood related, their spouses would not be even though TK was adopted. It would, however, mess up the family registration - you’d have “double-in-laws”. But S Korea is moving away from that because it’s been determined it interferes with a person’s free will to marry an individual and not a family. It’s interesting to read and research it out because it is so different from the view I have on marriage.

They are lying so much that eventually it will catch up like you said. If someone demands to see their marriage registration it will not be good for them.

And he’s been so dead set against being married and having kids and now he’s got to play the role of both husband and soon-to-be father along with having to move back home and deal with his crappy family as well. It’s no wonder he’s stressed out. I really hope YD can be more of a source of support for him and he for her as they get to know each other more.

And her granddaughter and grandson-in laws are just that - in laws. They are not blood related and are only family via marriage. TK is legally her son’s child - he has more of a standing in this family than those in-laws do. Grandma needs an attitude adjustment.

YD can explain her not by saying she meant her morning sickness would end in 3 months. I believe SJ will go to US because that is where JH is at the moment. Those two still need to hook back up so they can scheme against YD and TK. Or JH is going to have to come back to SK soon.
