yes, she was quite cold-hearted about the whole thing. One person's grief is never greater than another's just because you may have lost more than one person in your lifetime. Grief is grief.

I just felt that him telling her that was where her son was "buried" was not true and he had hopes she would just walk into the river and drown herself in grief. It is hard to read him at this point - on one hand he seems like he feels bad for her but on the other, he seems to still hate her. He has no expressions so it is hard to get a read on him.

the grieving process is just in full swing. everyone grieves differently and at their own time table - just because she isnt showing her grief doesnt mean her son cant. was she horrible for saying all that? i cant say she was - she made very good points, but when someone is in the beginning stages of grief, it wasnt the best thing to be saying. just like when people say “they are in a better place now” - trust me, that does NOT comfort anyone so please do not say that to someone who has lost a loved one - especially a child. people say stupid crap to those who are grieving.

soon ae’s sentence was 3 years, nam jin’s was 5 years, and sang ah’s original sentence was 25 years but probably was extended longer since she escaped and had planned to harm seon ju again. i imagine sang ah would be in there at least 30-35 years - she would be in her 70s by the time she is released - her mom would most likely be dead by then.
that ending was so anti-climatic. was glad to see they had their own child but would have loved to have seen where the others were at in their lives 3 years later - did tae sang and jin ju have a child? did mi ju and woo sang get married? did chu ah get with the manager? wth. we never found out who the lady in the pic with tae sang was.

LOL I will agree with you on all of that - just playing devils advocate here - we do have witnesses though that tell the truth and it is up to the jury to decide whether to believe them or not - all you neede is a shadow of doubt. which reminds me of the old black and white movie called Shadow of Doubt - omg that was such an excellent movie. I highly recommend watching it.
