What you said is correct Soo ho and young ro relationship started with lies. And for that reason they don't have a strong foundation. Young ro lost her trust towards him. The main advantage of Boon ok and Gyeok Chan relationship is that it doesn't started with a lie. They know who they are from the very start itself. So they have more chance for a better relationship and less toxic one. But why does soo ho acts tough towards young ro? Here are my reasons. When Soo ho acts soft towards Young ro everyone complains (especially Boon ok. Because she only cares about her). Remember a scene where soo ho treated young ro's wound and bandaged her. Everyone was asking why her( especially Boon ok). Also when soo ho took her to give food Boon Ok(again!!) was complaing. So if soo ho acts soft and cares about young ro it will only harm her. Not that he doesn't want, but he just cannot. And if Gyeok Chan finds about it he may even kill her. And you said soo ho never apologized for killing her brother (indirectly). He did actually just before that back hug. But in the case of our second couple, if Gyeok Chan acts softly or cares about Boon ok, no one really complains (especially Young ro. She is not self centred like Boon ok). Also Boon ok was saying how young ro could fall for a NK guy. And look at her now, she did the same. But at this point I don't think that she has completely fallen for Gyeok Chan . I felt like she is just testing his feelings. Maybe in coming episodes we can see more of this annoying couple!!

Same. I'm not getting any romantic vibes from her. Soo ho is in love with a SK, someone he's not suppose to love. So she's just suspicious and that's why monitoring him. Also there is no space for love triangles and jealousy here. They already have many things to deal with.
