I didn't fully read the novel but I'm reading the main parts along with each episode's storyline so far I got to know that the day CC saw GCY and Wang Shuo sleeping together they all were drunk that day and Wang Shuo took this chance to create this misunderstanding as he was jealous/insecure of their friendship but he lost either way GCY low key knows that it's all staged although he was also drunk , CC wouldn't have believed him even if he tried to explain him back then so he's trying all the ways to let CC know about Wang Shuo's scheme on his own rather than explaining to him , that's why he purposely uploaded the pic of him and Wang Shuo together when he found him and even asked CC if he saw the pic so that they can meet and CC can confront him , he even triggers Wang Shuo by sitting close to CC but at the end they all went separate ways at first , GCY Even went back to check , you can see in the preview that he's still provoking Wang Shuo so that the truth can come out
