I saw the first chapter wishing hard for Ye Xiu to be gay and find the love of his life along the way but... He…
I'm laughing because I would love to see that, but also because idk what you were expecting with that hopefulness. I can almost guarantee you it won't happen.
But good luck on your journey, and msg me if you succeed.
Agree, I think it's the only major weak point. I don't dislike his character or anything, but it's just so incredibly…
"English isn't my first language so I apologize too if it sounded like I'm implying you to be. You can simply correct me & no high tension is needed."
I apologize then. You write well, so it did not occur to me at first. I finally thought something was amiss when points were being brought up that neither Selty nor I said.
I am very passionate about my disdain towards jerk characters, so I got offended initially. As it's clear your intentions weren't of the sort, I apologize for coming off so strong. I have nothing against you, so I hope we can end on a good note!
Agree, I think it's the only major weak point. I don't dislike his character or anything, but it's just so incredibly…
I'm not missing your point. In fact, you never got the initial point.
Let me preface by saying NOBODY thought CS was passionless. When Selty says "doesn't inspire passion", she is talking about the writing, not that his character is passionless. Also being passionate doesn't suddenly make a character dynamic, so your points were pretty moot to begin with. You can like CS and that's completely fine; I respect your opinion. I like him as well.
But you had 0 reason to bring up passive aggressive males. Like I previously said, if the majority of dramas you watch have jerk leads, then you're watching the wrong dramas and that has nothing to do with me, or my preferences.
"If having passion means they have to be those regular passive aggresive ML who often be a jerk in their first encounter, "
This is an implication. If English isn't your first language, then I apologize for coming off so brash, but this 100% implies that I wanted a jerk MC. That is how you wrote it.
I type specific words in cap to put emphasis because there's no option to italicize. I'm not sure why you're bringing up caps when I'm not even typing in all caps for 99% my post. If you can't handle a debate without throwing implications around and calling out 1-2 words being capped, idk what to tell you.
Agree, I think it's the only major weak point. I don't dislike his character or anything, but it's just so incredibly…
Then you didn't need to mention anything about passive aggressive MCs? Why would you even bring it up, if not to imply. Nowhere did ANYONE say they want a passive aggressive MC. Who actually wants that? I can't believe people actually like that comment just because you like CS. You 100% implied I wanted a passive aggressive MC.
"I think people were just used to those passive agressive ML they often seen in kdramaland, so they can't get used to/can't appreciate whenever a ML like CS appear."
Like wtf is this line. You can't tell me this doesn't imply I can't appreciate a kind gentlemen of an mc. I didn't give a comparison (because something can be bland without a comparison--example; this apple is bland; it has no flavor. I'm not comparing it to any other fruits) , so you implicitly created one for me that I don't agree on and is belittling, which is the part that offends me.
It's 2019. You can like characters without them having to be a jerk MC. And if the majority of dramas you watch have jerk MCs, you're watching the WRONG DRAMAS.
Agree, I think it's the only major weak point. I don't dislike his character or anything, but it's just so incredibly…
Nowhere did I say he have to be passive aggressive. You are assuming so much from my comment lol. I find it kind of offending that you think I appreciate an aggressive male lead.
Your second is exactly what I find bland. He doesn't deviate from this in any way. He has minimal progression as a character compared to Man Wol. Yes, he changes, but it's far from anything from his character in the beginning.
News flash, you can be a kindhearted gentleman while being charismatic or full of dynamics.
post-production and costumes are amazingly on point. IU's character is very intriguing but I can't get hooked…
Agree, I think it's the only major weak point. I don't dislike his character or anything, but it's just so incredibly bland compared to the rest of the cast. He's like a textbook goody 2 shoes.
Man Wol has so many sides to her personality, but Chan Sung has shown at best, 2.
Really? There's no romance at all? I was thinking wether to watch it or not. I love yang yang, but i don't like…
Nope, no romance. The series is more about friendship/camaraderie.
In the novel, the author did leave a very implied open ending between >insert names<, but it's very open. 99.9% no romance so don't worry if you don't like romance!
But good luck on your journey, and msg me if you succeed.
YES! actually so triggering! gimme all that food if you're not gonna eat it T T
Personally, I prefer TKA (although I was already a fan before this adaption so I'm biased lol) just a bit more.
