Ahh I get your point. I guess that's because of angst. I think why it hits different is because it involves slow burn which was not there in moon lovers and the thing with slow burn is that it slowly and slowly builds a place in ur heart that is even without any touches we are able to feel a great deal of emotions. So when they give such lovers a sad ending it just hurts in the same way slowly and slowly paining you. But that's just my point of view.

I don't understand why people watch sad dramas if they don't like sad dramas. Honestly speaking I too sometimes am not able to like a drama despite being good. But I still give it a good rating because I know it was me who didn't enjoy it and as such everything was really good about it. Not just my cup of tea.

No moon lovers doesn't hit you like that imo. Like I have seen it and I was not even moved by a single death there. This one really hits different.
