I wanted to watch any of Lin Yun’s dramas before The Road to Glory airs. Can anyone recommend one where she’s done a good job and the story is interesting too? I just wanna get familiar with her acting before watching her in TRTG.

you’re so right ... and honestly with all the discussions happening already, I just hope the same thing doesn’t happen with this drama like it did with Overdo. People had so many expectations from it, and because the plot was already messy and chaotic and the screenplay had its own issues, I think those expectations made some people completely turn away from the drama without even watching it properly.
I’m definitely excited, but I don’t let the expectations ruin my watching experience. And honestly there’s already so much negativity around it even before we’ve seen anything.
From what I’ve seen, though, international fans seem REALLY excited because so many people already know and love both of them. I’ve seen so many edits even before the female lead was announced, and now everyone is even more excited to see them together. At the same time, I knew some of the things from the novel were going to irk certain viewers, especially with the recent discussions around Su Luo Wei's chastity. I’ve read the novel, so none of that really surprised me.
But I’m happy there are also people looking at it logically and giving the adaptation a chance. It can turn out better than the novel in some parts and worse in others, that’s literally what adaptations are. What matters to me is that both actors are working hard, I’m excited to see them together, and I genuinely find the plot interesting. I just want to watch the adaptation and see what they do with it. Why make everything so negative before we’ve even got the drama?
