Okay...very full for an episode. A lot to unpack but we'd already guessed that tongkla already had a few decks…
I would have agreed that a memory card wouldn't withstand mud and water had I not attended a digital forensics class in college (that was my major) and my professor declared that he was part of a team that recovered data from a mudslide back in my city oh so many years ago. In that process they extracted valuable pictures and videos of families that otherwise would have been gone forever. They did not recover everything as some computers' drives were quite damaged by the mud and water but they recovered a very high percentage for what the damage was and mind you that was when technology wasn't that advanced or parts of high quality. It's gotten even better though I completely understand your skepticism because believe me until he personally proved it, I did not buy his story. Sorry for my tangent, just wanted to provide some insight.
Can you spoil (with the spoiler tag of course) to me what those characteristics are? I haven't read the novel…
True they are very far from being a couple in the series still, and I agree now that I know what their characters are supposed to be like that kiss doesn't make sense (but of course as a BL fan, I was a fan, sorry not sorry) plot and character wise. Ooooh wait if that's true I'm excited to see that side of him. I purposefully didn't watch the trailer because sometimes trailers spoils too much. Thanks for letting me know. :)

AHHHHH First, you are amazing for going the extra mile to write it all out for me, truly bless you. Second, the way the characters sound in the novel really makes me wish I could see that version of them on screen now. I really am highly considering reading the novel just because of your comment on how you mentioned they were avoidant of each other because they didn't want to admit their feelings for each other. Stop it, why does that sound so cute?! Also thank you for the link, I've started reading the twitter thread and will finish it up tomorrow because it's late and I'm old and need sleep, ahaha.

Thank you so much for enlightening me. I had no idea that Jiang Tian's character was supposed to be portrayed like that. My guess is that they took it out of the plot entirely because I heard the novel is quite long and usually BL series are quite short in episodes so they may have wanted to "speed up" them getting together because I did read somewhere in the comments that it takes them like 60+ chapters just for one of them to confess. That's what I'm assuming, but it would have been really cool to see that version as it was meant to be in the novel, I think it would have been probably just as good as this version. Don't get me wrong though, I love this version and am so obsessed with it.
Did I miss something? Hero gets into an accident with the motorcycle and then it jumps to him immediately at Pop's house and being taken care of by Pop with no explanation what so ever as to how he ended up there??? Also did Hero really ask Lala if Pop moans when having sex or was that translated wrong? Because if not, that was wild and her reaction was not nearly strong enough. The uncut version or should I say episode 3 in its entirety has confused me because it felt so over the place. I thought an extended version would flow smoother but the cut jumps and pace just made me so confused. I've seen the original banned Chinese version of Addicted and I keep comparing it to this version to try and understand this adaptation better, but this episode has me just wondering what the heck I just watched. The breakup scene was also really badly acted on Lala's part, not sure why they had her character written that way but it makes the actual actress seem like she can't act just by the expressions and word choices they made her portray. I hope episode 4 flows better, I really don't want to drop this series but it was hard to get through episode 3 because of the way it was edited and I waited for 2 days for it to be subbed because my Thai is very beginner so I'm a little disappointed but I'll be back next week. Sorry for the long rant.
Someone called @kilerleo wrote a comment on the youtube reunion video with ALL the subtitles. You have to scroll…
I don't know what I would do without your constant updates about this show. You are always so helpful, truly the blessing that you are *bows in thanks*
The way Shun and Dai have me in a chokehold is unbelievable because I've always been a silent reader on MDL but today I made an account and purchased Netflix for a month just so I can watch the last two episodes as soon as they drop because I refuse to wait for someone else to upload them (what I've been doing so far). I don't even work, just using up my savings for my ship, that's how much help I need and by that I mean please let my ship sail and be happy.
