fake cuilin or LCF somehow decided that Cui Yi was never sincere toward him and used him as the fake cuilin, in…
I think LCF had already expressed his wishes of marrying Cui Lin to the general Cui Yi. And we see in Cui Yi's flashback that, he asked Ying about marrying LCF, but she didn't agree. General cui didn't revert back to LCF telling him that Ying wishes to remain unmarried all her life, but she doesnt wanna marry you Maybe that lack of clarification pushed LCF down that path of believing that General Cui had never been sincere yo him. Because he probably thought General Cui doesn't agree for their matrimony, which in fact wasnt true. It was ying, who always saw him as her Ge.
The only thing im scared about is : i dont want it to end up like SAHPH. That is to say i dont want lots of screen time for support characters. I hope they follow WOL pattern, in terms of giving the leads majority of screen time. But at the same time it has to be acknowledged that its a business oriented drama so there's gonna be work related stuff, lots of it ( i mean its Han Ting, so ofc). I really really really hope we get to watch this by March /April'24
I was rewatching E39 , and just realized : In E 40 Cui Lin explained to Taozi about how she gained consciousness. According to her , it was a gradual process . 1st she could hear things and not move at all, and then finally when she gained her full body control, she leaped out of the coffin. So, according to that, there's a possibility that....maybe.....Cui Lin heard what Li Ni told to Wan Niang . And that just explains the look in her eyes, when she woke up. It felt like she knew what Li Ni had been through and what she meant to him & now, she was there to comfort him.
Only for Love had a weak source material to begin with -- it wasn't worth an adaptation, especially with Bai Lu…
I totally agree on this. As beautiful as Beijing is one of the best stories ive ever read. It's among my favorite novels now. The story is just picture perfect and the characters are strong, and the important thing is, they uphold their values till the end. OFL has without any doubt weak characters, the story is pretty much lame. I found Love is sweet better than OFL.
Being a sucker for happy endings, I don't have enough words to describe how satisfying and fulfilling the climax of this drama has been . The enlightening moment of Li Ni's father (his finally understanding what a gem Li Ni was), the father-son quality time spent, Er proposing to Taozi and obviously Cui Lin & Li Ni's happy ever after, just everything. All the pieces were beautifully put together, to get us a heartwarming ending. (I can't stress this more ) *Cui Lin breaking the news of her pregnancy to Li Ni* , just wow. That moment was spectacular. Kai and Jing Tian have done a brilliant job. The way their eyes speak , and their expressions, fantastic.
Another thing that I want to highlight is, the huge amount of details that have been put in script and acting to showcase the pure love between Li Ni znd Cui Lin . Li Ni waiting for his wife to give birth, without eat or sleep under open sky, on his toes for the entire time Cui Lin was in labor, has indeed set the bar high. The moment Li Ni heard of the birth of his son, we see that his expressions don't change much and he instantly asks for Cui Lin, following which he rushes to see her & the first thing he said to her was " You've been through a lot ". I'm sure half the population won't be able to comprehend the worth of that statement. We see Taozi glancing at them, smiling.
I'm gonna miss that thrill of watching this drama for the 1st time. β€οΈ
Weak hero friendship! And the friendships in School 2013, Bloodhounds,Uncanny counter. It's kind of obvious this…
I agree. It wouldn't be wrong saying that my contributions to the article are biased towards genres that I enjoy the most, and hence options were limited.
The best cdrama I ever enjoyed and watched till the end. And the most satisfying part was the scene when Li Ni…
Lolπ π Rightly said. I think the only reason he let her live , was that she brought back nanny and got him his mom's portrait embroidered. Li Ni was too kind to her
Since the begining of the month, there has been anticipation for the episodes and after watching them, satisfaction. Its been a crazy month. Now that it finally ended , with such a brilliant and beautiful climax, I'm gonna miss it so much. (For the people who are gonna bingewatch, I'm sure the impact will be more.)
Im not the type that rewatches dramas, but I will, this one for sure.
I also think that modern dramas don't show his potential in acting . I want to see him more in xianxia dramas…
I agree. I was making the point that he did justice to whatever characters he placed. The thing is that each characters has a plethora of traits, and you cant expect him to display similar qualities in each role. (Someone had mentioned historical genre suits him, i was just trying to contradict that.) He does whatever he does beautifully.

This looks too good.
