There are a lot of romances and intimate scenes, but I think they are changing the novel a lot. So they might…
If you are taking about Shao Yichen, then yes. (Sort of) I wouldn't say it was anyone's fault. After 7 long years of being with JX, small differences, small occurences, displaying lack of compassion from her side, broke his heart. It was a gradual and cumulative effect. From Ji Xing's point of view, she wanted him to wait for her, for things to settle down at her newly established company, but he wasn't willing to do so. So, both of them were at fault. The breakup thing was brought out by Shao Yichen. (I guess that's why there's a line in book that says " Han ting didnt know what effect her breakup with shao yichen had on her, but she seemed to have lost all her self confidence after breaking up with han ting.")
As far as book reading is concerned, after finishing the book, I can say... -> If you totally want to skip JX and Yichen's relationship, then start with part 2. -> if you wanna know how she actually built her company, and how she met han ting, and obviously shao yichen's story (by the way, he was a great guy), then read right from beginning.
PS: if you start from part 2, you'll be missing the family links, (han ting's friend circle) and the competition backdrop of Dongyang group and the rivalry between Han Ting &Han yuan.

Totaly agree with you . With the current drama synopsis, i doubt whether they're gonna go on with the merger plot or not. (the company issue was their reason for breakup, and it is pretty important. )
In the novel, there is not many love triangle. Ji Xing already broke up with her boyfriend before she start new…
Which i think is really bad, coz they had a whole fight thing coz of zeng di, and she keeps appearing from time to time. I dont know what the scriptwriters have in mind, but i feel she's a pretty important character

Right. Shao yichen was an amazing guy. For 20 -22 chapters of part 1, everything was so perfect, that i thought why would they ever break up... Breaking up makes sense though ( and the transition was so pefect), but his indifferent attitude post break up is little too much, given that they were together for big 7 years. Spoiler ⚠️ 📢!! What I specifically love about this book is ...how its not a saga of falling in love, but more like, a relationship that started with one night stand , and so many hardships in the way, turning into such a beautiful one (Han Ting &Ji Xing) I'm in love with this book.
You can access it from here, using Google translate. Translation is a mess. Gender pronouns are a reversed at most places, but you'll get a hang of it.

Yes the ending seems different as well. Ji xing getting her company out of bottleneck, isnt there in the book.
I really really hope thy dont alter too much, its a beautiful book 💜
PS : I didnt read part 1 earlier, (reading it now ), & its not boring at all. Reading part 1 makes me realize, the importance of Shao yichen, in the story. Now i understand why he's a main character. I pictured gao han while reading it, he feels so perfect. Its hard to wait.
You're right to some extent, its a known fact that they wont simply put everything in the novel on screen, so yes. I liked court lady. I'm really excited for this one coz its XK's modern drama, and we dont get to see a lot of that. I seriously seriously hope the script writer does a good job (that's all i care about). The actors are amazing, I know they'll do a great. :)
Correct !! And that's why we love him. 🤩 Anticipating Xu Kai's Drama & that too as Han Ting. Its gonna be a blast. My expectations are sky high. ✨️ I hope everybody does a good job.
Yang hua and Han Ting have totally differrent outlook towards life (I think). YH would chose family over career any day, but Han Ting isnt like that. For him, work is as important as any other thing in life. SPOILER ⚠️ : (According to the book : He once said to Ji Xing, love is not everyhing in his life. PS : I'm in love with Han Ting's character. He's not perfect, but in a way he is.)
Where can I watch English sub of behind the scenes? Seems like there's limited availability on YouTube
Lee junho has a youtube channnel, and he's posted a vlog or something while filming. It does have some funny behind the scene stuffs, mostly junho. You can watch that. Its nice and funny.
Literally re-watched this drama again for like the 5th time already (don't judge me) and I still cry every time.…
Absolutely agree with you. This is the best drama ever for me. Cant evrr get over it. From the OSTs, to cast, acting , filming, story, you name it and everything is just so perfect. I cried my eyes out while watching Episode 17. Like literaly, when Kyung Hee was packing Deok Im's stuffs, tears were rolling down my cheek. I haven't cried that much, watching any drama yet.
What the hell was ep17,,,,, after shedding a lot of tears and swearing for the writers....it was all a dream...like…
No it wasnt. It was kind of afterlife stuff... As yi san dies, he closed his eyes, and sort of dreams of that past moment with deok im, sort of wanting to live it again, in a different way, to cherish what he had. It was a way of ending the story on a merrier note for the team, I guess.

This is ridiculous. I wont call these people fans of actors. If you're fan, you support them. And I absolutely have no clue about why does a billing issue even exist. Like, check out MDL ratings of all the dramas XK has done, most of them are well appreciated, no less than Seven, both of them are awesome. And we all know, he does a great job on screen, every single time. I feel people should ignore these stupid C-netz. If actors chose a script, it means they thought it through, and no one has the right to raise an issue out of it (and specially the billing crap). All the very best to the cast and crew. I hope it becomes a hit, a slap on the faces of those unruly people.
