Sorry I don’t remember any detail XD but yes, I’m sure these shows are very scripted, and even if they’re not, the contestants make their choices based on image and popularity anyway.
Does anyone else feel that they get paired up/choose a person they like too easily and early on, so they don’t give themselves a chance to get to know the others? This is the impression that this dating show gives me, compared to the others (for example Heart Signal, in which they might have a favorite, but they still want to get to know the other people.)

Pat’s crying feels always out of place. I think it’s because there are different types of crying, but he always goes for loudly bawling his eyes out kind of crying (which also lasts way too long) so it doesn’t feel natural, and only makes him look very immature, especially in the office and during the confession scene with Jeng. I totally agree with you, they should’ve talked, expressed their feelings, and he could’ve had just a few tears rolling down his cheeks… louder crying doesn’t mean it’s better nor sadder. Silent cries can be super heartbreaking.

Their storyline is so irrelevant that instead of showing us something we just hear them talk about it… Jaab has a new partner and is still thinking about Jen, so he’s clearly using the other person to forget about him… I feel sorry for the partner.

Oh really? I’m really surprised because in Italy (where I’m from) it is definitely a taboo (it’s seen as going against the “manliness” of a man…). Sometimes they’ll even say that it’s illegal (it’s legal since 1978 apparently).

So, I had the right impression I guess ^^” It also said that it’s popular in the US, New Zealand, Australia, China, India, the Netherlands and the UK. So it checks out.
