Welp, that was messy. I think this is a love it or hate it drama. So many wonderful actors. Shame the writer wasn't as well. For me, it turned out to be trash.
For me: This movie never found its groove. It's a yawn fest. It wasn't funny, cute or even romantic. However, if you are a Slice of Life genre fan, you'll probably love it's super slow pace and concentration on the common moments in life. The whole thing felt like filler to me.
The genre is Wuxia, which means Chinese Fantasy in a nutshell. Avoid Wuxia if you're not a fan of the mix of 'martial arts, sorcery, and chivalry". There are a lot of other Chinese genres that don't have the magic element that you'd probably like better. Buuuuut, I'm glad you're watching this one so far! ^.^ I hope you stick with it and grow to like it better.
Predictable script with stilted dialogue. Worth a watch for Joo Sang Wook's incredible acting. Nam Ji Hyun playing Ryu Shi Gae is a breath of fresh air. Jin Se Yeon (Sung Ja Hyun) still mystifies me with her prim acting. I'd like to see her show some growth as an actress instead of resting on her early laurels. Overall, Grand Prince was less than grand to watch for me.
Same. If it's any consolation, in actual history it's likely that Tianming (Qin Er Shi in history) did become…
I think they did a good job making it clear the Chu & the Hun were going to make a comeback. I think Sun Li had it right when she said it was never to create peace. =\
Damn ending..... Im so sad :( ... i was hoping for a happy ending because i started to root for Ying zhen and…
Same. If it's any consolation, in actual history it's likely that Tianming (Qin Er Shi in history) did become Emperor after Ying Zheng passed away instead of his eldest brother, Fusu. Ying Zheng went on to create the Terracotta Army, unite China and build the Great Wall as 1st Emperor of China. The King's Woman was a wild ride from beginning to end for me.
Single meaning not married instead of not seeing anyone. I stopped by wondering if this was a new Season Themed KDrama, like the Endless Love series. I still don't know. =D Any ideas?
