I'm American😅 What I meant was, compared to the millions of other Thai BL's where the characters who are supposedly "foreign-raised" speak with a very Thai heavy accent, Nunew's accent in this drama seems way better in comparison. Is it perfect? No, but I certainly find it more convincing compared to some other Thai BL "foreign-raised". characters. For example, the mc from "ghost host, ghost house" is supposed to have been raised in the States. However, the Thai accent was way more obvious when compared with Nunew's dialogues (ik khanin is from London, but my point still stands). I meant it in a comparison manner😁 I should've probably mentioned that haha😅

Maybe the fight sequence@ the start stands out to me because I do watch a lot of action dramas/movies lol. I just kept comparing it some of the really good sequences I've seen😅. Like some parts of it were fine. The fast movements were cool, but during the slo-mo movements, it just felt like they were play fighting for me. I could not take it seriously lol. I do agree about the Zee comment though👀. That man is fine as hell. I'm glad I pulled you into the eyebrows group though lol. I need someone to suffer with me muahaha 🤣
PROS: 1. New's acting in the breakdown scene with his dad was fantastic!! He portrayed the emotions very well and I even cried a bit too. 2. I don't know much about fencing, but all the fencing scenes looked convincing enough for me unlike some some dramas where the show only weird angles of a sport they're "playing". 3. Production Value is seriously amazing in this drama! 4. New's English was convincing enough for me. Like, I could believe he's been living in London for a while. On the other hand, Paul's dialogues were a little funny though lol. He kept saying "mate" every other sentence😂 5. I loved the bold pocky scene!! Like, I love a character that isn't always shy and blushy. Nothing wrong with it, but the boldness is refreshing to see.
CONS: 1. Whoever edited Zee's starting fight scene made a bad decision. The slo-mo edit made the fight scene look really awkward and unrealistic. The scene would've been just fine without the slow motion effect. 2. Sudden cuts between scenes. The way a scene just immediately transitions into another scene, left me a bit disoriented because there were times I was a tad confused about the timeline. 3. I miss black-haired New😩. Not a con, but I just love Nunew with black hair. I'm okay with them dying his hair in this drama, but the colored brows are throwing me off haha😅. I just couldn't stop looking at his eyebrows lol.
Honestly, most of the issues I had with this ep is with the editing. The story and acting are awesome, but I hope the editing team can do better in the next ep.
Honestly, I wish MDL didn't allow for overall drama ratings after just 1 ep. People should only be able to rate it only after at least half the show has aired. Don't understand how anyone can judge a drama with so harshly with only 1 ep (good or bad). Makes no sense to me. I just started watching ep 1 and while I do think that some of the early scenes could've been shot better (like the slo-mo fight scene @ the start), it also has many good parts so far. Just ep 1 is NOT enough for to judge a whole 14 ep drama🤷♀️
See, and this is how I get in trouble and get accused of being a bad fan of his... but I'm concerned. Why, after…
I personally don't think this is a negative thing. Well, with the way these two are promoting each other recently, I can guess that they’re going to be in a drama together. I found this x post too (the user is pretty reliability with this kinda news) - https://twitter.com/TheBLXpress/status/1914877465006367027 If they are, there’s no way that First just randomly chose someone without any sort of criteria in mind. The newbie defo must have gone through some sort of auditioning or acting classes before getting paired with a more experienced actor like First. I'm pretty sure about that. Just because First is acting with a newbie actor doesn't mean it's some sort of bad thing or that it's a stooping low thing. Lots of experiencer actors get suddenly get paired up with fresh ones. Nothing wrong with that. I'm willing to give this a try. When their drama comes out, I'll watch it and then make further decisions. But, for now I'm just glad he found someone he's comfortable acting with. Also, GMM is very saturated right. They have way more artists than they can handle and a lot of them have still not been utilized in dramas properly
I'm watching ep 1 of this and I really dislike Rak's friends right ngl. Why are they being such nosy ass bitches🙄 I just wanna smack that girl and her friend’s smug faces so bad lmao. I don’t why I’m so mad right now, but I hate people like them who always try to ruin other peoples work. It’s hard to find it funny
Y'all, am I going crazy or is anyone suddenly seeing a rise in Daon actor hate? I feel like everyone's bashing him for saying that his fav scene in the drama was the library scene or liking Su Hyeon's character... Something about how this means that he's not supporting Sunhyung (aka puppy actor) or doesn't like him. Is it just me? I'm so confused... Why does it matter who he likes it what he likes?? They're just actors, not actual partners or anything.. What the hell is going on?????
I want more crazy shows like Secret Relationships😭😭😭 I seriously can't move on from this. Someone help me🥲. This show has awakened a hidden side of me that enjoys stressful and scary BL dramas lmfao. I want more Korean BL's like this!!!!
suffer with me muahaha 🤣
