To me the teacher (idk her name, I never kept it in mind) knew from the beginning what was the deal. Because she seemed fully aware of the consequence it would have on the school reputation. But yeah maybe she didn’t believe shiba in the first place tho.
The connexion you made with pyramid game is super accurate. Abt katsumi I would have liked clarifications abt what were the charges that made me him go in prison : whether it was because of all those illegal intimate pics he took and/or stabbing his father tho it seems like it was only for the last reason I enonciated. I would have appreciated as well having a scene in which the father after recovering was being judged for domestic abuse. About pyramid game, I remember how bad I felt for da yun. I mean I didn’t like her actions but her father deserved prison as well for beating her up (constantly and violently at that).
Back to life, Shiba’s ex best friend never died. It was an attempt (that failed). At the beginning we were lead to think she died but in an episode (near ep 4/5 I think), you can see shiba with a bouquet heading to someone’s flat and running towards it when she sees a head peeking outside. Before she could approach enough, the door is shut. She stands there for a few, asking for forgiveness and there it’s revealed to whom she was addressing her excuses : her ex best friend, who fell on the floor, kinda desperate judging by her facial expressions. That’s when I understood she never passed away after getting ran over and that shiba never stopped going at her appartement to apologize ever since the accident
these dark plots smh appeal me more often. It gives depth to the series! Mana is such a good villain tho eventho I hate her. also the romance between sako and the teacher creeps me out. And yeah male characters in the series were always OTT tbh 💀💀✋🏾
I just reinstalled and yeah I absolutely didn’t miss the horrendous interface lol. but at least now I can chat with someone so it makes the experience better (my pseudo may be @Slay_rylleBis depending of when I’ll receive the confirmation email but someone already took Slay_rule so I made a bis). But what I don’t understand is why tf the developers messed up so bad with MAL when they could make the MDL bis 😭. About how I track my stuff without MAL honestly idk lol. especially when I watch on many platforms (Netflix, crunchy roll, anime sama etc…) I just know what I’m watching like that, where I’m at more or less. Now that I’ve came to think about it, a MDL for WEBTOONs/ manhwas would be the graal as well 😞

Because tbh the bullying trope is being a little bit overused rn (tho they fortunately depicts quite in a realistic way in most of the series) so this felt like fresh air on top of other similar series. Rn I feel so bad for shiba because she always was surrounded by really bad people (not intentionally) like her first best friend and now anzaii 😭. I’m so glad there is the other girl that is nice to her. Anzaii’s boyfriend is so inhumane like everytime he appears on screen I have flashbacks of his actions and wanna puke like genuinely…
The OSt is honestly so good and depicts the mood of the series imo. Having it also in the middle of the episode as well always catch me off guard cuz I’m always like ´ oh it’s ended. that was quick ´ and then realize it’s not
oh I didn’t read Aib but I might try this version out after the live animation is finished to see what are the changes between the og and what’s been animated!
I do watch a LOT of animes and read mangas 😭 I don’t have a profile on my anime list but I once downloaded the app (right after I got the MDL one) and the interface felt meh so I immediately uninstalled but I can reinstall so we can keep in touch ! 🧚🏽♀️ btw I’m 5 eps into ´life ´ and yeah it’s really dark but realistic compared to some other dramas. Like it didn’t feel oddly censured.
I didn’t know another had a live action but I don’t think I will watch it rn. Usually animes’ live action are not good at all. The anime is just top tier tho. Y’all should try it out !
I totally relate with what happened to you abt Bitch X Rich. This series from the beginning appealed me for the OST, the synopsis, the mood everything ! And I gave it a try but I ended up not liking it personally 😭. And yeah some OSTs put out of their context don’t resonate the same. The emotions felt are not the same either. I haven’t watched Signal right now but it’s been on my watchlist. I will try it out someday. I’m so surprised to hear you watch animes or is it just shoujo kakumei utena ? (I didn’t know abt this one tho 😔🤚🏾)
Honestly Netflix series are good when it comes to kdrama except hierarchy (this one was a complete waste of my time tbh) and some romance series. But if you liked AiB, you should definetely try out squid game one day and also The 8 Game. Both are in the same genre as AiB but are very unique by themselves imo !
I was already tuned even before its release because it’s been months since the last series Netflix released that wasn’t romance (except the disappointment that was hierarchy) and I’m so glad this series kept its promises. It was a pure political dramas, as I like them, full of plotwsists, no ´black or white ´ characters. Each of them had their bad sides when it comes to politics.The episodes went by so fast I didn’t even realize. The cast and the acting were on fire. I already knew many of the actors in the cast since they are like ´veterans ´ in the industry but they didn’t fail to impress me once again by their performance! The intro and the OSTs were on point !
If you liked it, Queenmaker with the same FL will totally be to your taste !
I’m so happy you enjoyed it because I did as well! it was one of the best dramas of this year, and I was so glad to see finally dramas other than rom-coms being released. The characters, the plot, the cast and the acting everything was ON POINT ! And yeah finally someone mentionning the OSTs. These are so good especially the intro one (higher by Ava grace) it always managed to put me in the mood of the episode to come right away!
Also personally even if I don’t like a series but the OSTs are incredible, I would stream them so bad lol 😭.
And yeah I understand your point about not watching similar series to what you’ve just finished to avoid comparing them. I have many examples but I will give one with popular series. When squid game first aired I quickly watched it as I waited for its release for so long and then right after I searched for similar series - because I was quite thirsty of this typa series- and stumbled upon AIB (alice in borderland). I didn’t watch it right away but one week later (I couldn’t resist more 😅) I went to watch and I don’t regret it and I’m glad it got its huge recognition by international public after because it’s always been a great series !
