Despite seeing dramas like Reply1994/97 making a large amount of the the main plot-line based back in the 90's, I'd say that this drama is doing quite well in following suit. I was personally iffy on the /how/ the main characters were brought back to the past but it's probably not the point and just me looking for things to critisize.
I personally just wanted to comment on the specific angles or just the composition of the framework of the drama that has gotten me intrigued. Perhaps it's because I've been MIA from the kdrama scene, but I'm actually enjoying the choice of framework. Not only that, it's just even 4 episodes in, the unmistakable longing at the thought of their son and just the missing elements of their future lives together (Jin Joo's mother) that they've been given the opportunity to actually treasure while being stuck in the past... the way the main characters portray this emotion is actually heart wrenching amongst all the comedic value the drama has to offer so far.
A part of me can see how throwing the characters back into the past and allowing them to fall in love again through a different turn of events can return them back to the present. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't be interested in seeing how they both would've turned out if they in-fact lived their lives differently with different people.
Just watching the first ep had me dying. Wow. I'm really liking the atmosphere for this drama since it is not your typical korean drama at all. A bit adult-oriented for those who are mature enough to find humor in cursing and sexual behavior. I really am looking forward to the relationship between our lovely Joon Jae and Takuya though. God. God. God. (/resists fanboying)
urgh. this drama... gives me many different feels, really. There are moments I can really understand and actually like certain aspects of it, then there are other times... well-- I'm not going to lie, but the lead female is quite annoying-- I mean, in the beginning; the clinging to her boyfriend in front of her ex is understandable (and I'd probably do the same just for spite) but she does it constantly throughout the drama when Taeha is around. She constantly claims that she'll never go back to Taeha, so why must she feel the need to stir him up by bringing up the past during such inappropriate moments and rubbing it in his face that she's with another dude. For revenge? So he can experience the things she was going through while dating him? ugh. From what was shown about their past relationship, he neglected her somewhat and stopped paying attention to her since he was busy with his own life and aspirations, it happens when you're focused on your career rather than your social life. And apparently she was going through problems of her own with her fathers' death, so this could've been what built up the month before their break-up. Though, I don't really understand how the current way she's treating him could equal what happened in their past. She's only led by most of the negative conflicts they had towards the end of their relationship, whilst Taeha is led by the good things before it (which is why im guessing why he'd want to get back with her?). ==;;
//goes and finishes ep8 now// ouo
Did anyone get why they could switch bodies with that girl??? O_O
Yes, that is true. That was one of the unexplained elements in the movie. In addition, to what exactly happened to her. Because remember, in the beginning of the movie, she was completely fine. And i found it strange how she was still alive when Je Chil picked her up from the trash pile, however, after they fell on the floor and kissed, she just never woke up. It was very strange.... and i just couldn't help but question it.
I mean most can agree that the story-line had some obvious lacking edges and unexplained parts to it, and i believed that they could've done a bit more with this sort of story line. Though i do originally find these kinds of plots --where people switch bodies-- interesting so i watched the movie with an open mind. And I found some parts hilarious. To be honest, i was actually wondering how this movie would end and assumed that both friends with just live life in each others' body but the ending seemed satisfying than how usually these types of movies end.
Did anyone get why they could switch bodies with that girl??? O_O
Do you mean in general? I mean i guess it just seemed that /whoever/ kissed the girl was able to switch bodies with the girl.
or do you mean how they were able to switch bodies between them them two (Je Chil and Hyun Goo)? In that case, Je Chil kissed the girl first, so he became the girl-- And remember that whoever kisses the girl switches bodies-- so Je Chil was able to switch into Hyun Goo's body like that and Hyun Goo was in the girls' body now. Despite not seeing it, we can only assume that Hyun Goo in the girls' body kissed Je Chil's body. And so they switched.-- that probably sounded confusing doesnt it? lmao sorry.
God I can't wait to watch the Korean remake. I actually enjoyed the original taiwanese version despite feeling that the taiwanese ver. got me a bit bored, but it certainly picked up. ^^
Since it's a re-make, I'll uh try to keep an open mind for the first 2-3 episodes haha
Was it only me that had hoped that Tae ll was actually gay and had the hots for his Gook? lol In the beginning he really did seem flamboyant and the way he was pretty much on top of Gook had me-- ;; But ugh. I will try not to surrender this ship not yet-- These two are actually one of my few motivations in continuing this drama lol
Nail Shop Paris was a total mess! God. I managed to watch the whole drama from beginning to end. And that ending... I don't even know what to say about it. I wasn't sure if I was more shocked than disappointed or perhaps a mixture of both! Originally, I have a thing for gender-bender kind of dramas, and in the beginning I thought it was going to fine. (Though, it was, in a way, copying Coffee Prince.) But the idea about a nail shop ran by men was definitely something different from the usual gender-bender dramas you'd hear about. I just feel that, the story could've been... produced much better in a different way. The amount of different things going on in each episode just had a person know that the writer perhaps had a lot of things they wanted to do but struggled terribly in completing the puzzle. I heard it was a new drama, mainly acted out by rookies. Though, I'm not sure.
This may not be one of the anime's you've suggested, but I've always been interested in seeing a Korean version of DeathNote. In the past, I heard they were originally planning on doing a korean version, but I don't know what happened ;;
I was looking forward to it so much too.
After watching episode 12, is it wrong for me to start having an idea on who Master is? I have a theory that maybe Master could be the younger brother of Seo Ill Rok's best friend. "A hyung he could never see again" or something along those lines was it? And maybe that's because his hyung is dead? I don't know *-* Hmm... But it's only an idea of course. ^^ The ending for the firefighter and nurse was pretty cute too. I enjoyed it. However the episode ending... Wow, she actually confessed it! Though I ship Master with her more than her with Seo Ill Rok, I couldn't help smiling at how she finally admitted herself :D
So I have began watching this drama just a day ago after deciding to give it a try (since i dont usually watch historical dramas). I actually liked the beginning? I'm wondering why others didn't (judging by the comments i skimmed through) I mean like, just after a few episodes I really like the whole concept of Dr Jin. I never knew there was a Jap. Ver. maybe i'll watch it. But personally i like how Dr. Jin is going, it's not too romantic. -nodnod-
I began watching this drama since I liked the kind of sci-fi/supernatural kind of plot with two people switching bodies ever since Secret Garden. -MaRi's character is so much like a sasaeng fan that i roll my eyes at how crazy her actions get. Really? Throwing a chair through a window- wow, really crazy. &I've noticed the messiness of the story line as well :l but i will just continue watching the series to see if the story line progression will get any better ~ I just really hope that they don't leave Yoon Jae sleeping for the whole drama -_-
Just began watching this drama a day ago. And im really glad I discovered this drama! I'm almost done and I'm looking forward to watching the next season :D
I have to admit this had me literally laughing out loud! I was laughing so much my mom gave me that wtf-expression whenever I looked her way. She probably thinks I'm weird for laughing at my computer screen XD haha. this is totally worth watching,
Just began watching the series! However 80 EPISODES?!!!! whoa. I just hope that this drama somehow maintains to keep me interested! Especially since its a Taiwanese drama... the longest Taiwanese drama i watched was 'Fated To Love you'& i REALLY needed to be patient with that drama just to finish it. Hopefully this can be different... So I'll try to watch as much of the series as I can! :D
i heard a lot about this movie, so i finally decided to watch it. And good god... i swear it brought me to tears for the most part. I can't imagine being a student soldier. Too bad I'm not learning about the Korean War anymore in my Global class, i would've introduced this video to my teacher sooner :')

this series is quite a different compared to the ones i usually see. there is quite a lot of drama in this that im not use to, but i find it interesting to find out how the whole pregnant scenario will end :) cant wait for season 2 ^w^
