haha Yeah, sometimes you can still catch the gist of what's going on when you do that. It just irritated me that the school would tell me to read the second instead of the first. :p But I'm not surprised, they made us read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe before reading the Magician's Nephew.

It depends on her roles. She tends to get offered roles that don't require a lot of acting, but I've seen her in roles that demanded a lot more from her and she did an awesome job.

No The Dark is Rising is from a completely different author. I said the title of The Darkest Powers reminded me of that title.

I love her acting. She's on of my favorite Japanese actresses.

I never read the books. I just felt that the movie showed me all that I could possibly want to see and know about the story.

haha I read that as The Dark is rising, and suddenly wanted to read that book again. You know what I hate? The battle of the books program that I was in while reading that didn't bother to mention that it's a series and that that particular book wasn't the first. What gives? Why have somebody read in the middle of the series? :p Anywho, I guess it didn't matter too much since I was still able to follow along. lol

Ohh that's great! We finally paid off one of our library card fees, so I am now able to request books. Perhaps I'll start requesting that series. :) I really enjoyed the first book.

I've read the first three books in that series! I really like Meg Cabot's other series (Princess Diaries being her main one lol) I remember there was one about a girl that got struck by lightning.

Have you read The Summoning? I think that's what it's called. It was pretty good and I want to continue reading that series.

I was mainly referring to the Japanese remake, but I haven't watched either. I watched the first episode of the Taiwanese version several years back, but never got around to finishing it. :)
