Can you tell me which one did you like better?

I will definitely give it a try in my spare time. I’m a lover of biographical stories but fantasy takes me into another world. Being in medical field is depressing and this takes the stress away at times. It’s like how doctors smoke and drink ,I do this instead.

I do know about it’s existence. I just felt the familiarity of the spells a bit strong.It’s obviously just pure coincidence. I do love fantasy genres. If you don’t mind me asking ,have you read ‘The Heavenly Official’? Every story has it’s own beauty for sure but since I have little to no time in my hands I want to know how it fairs compared to hyx. Which one did you find better personally?

I guess being an avid HP fan made me feel the familiarity a bit strong.But I love it all the more because of that.And you can be rest assured because I grew up watching Chinese movies.From Jackie Chan,Bruce Lee to Jet Li and many more,they have been a big part of my childhood. I don’t read just for the fact of this novel being a BL. I’m no fujoshi nor gay.I do support lgbtq.But I read for the sake of good stories in any genre and nothing else.And hyx is definitely one to watch out for .Also Lou Yinxi is one of my fav Chinese actor. I look forward to watching this drama.

Right.Maybe it’s because I read HP over and over again that I felt such overwhelming familiar.But that made it more fun and I fell easily in love with this novel as well.

Haha probabLy. But again to clarify I never used the word 'copy'. I said inspired. Everybody is inspired by something or someone when they produce their work,don't you think? I write a lot myself.I just found the spells very similar and intigruing.And it made it all the moRe fun to read.

Thanks for the info.I do know about the existence of all these cultivation techniques. I have been watching Chinese dramas since I was a kid.Just that most of the spells in this book particularly reminded me of HP in mostparts. But I guess it's just a coincidence.

I wrote plagiarise because I don't want anyone to think I'm talking otherwise.I never said she did. I said I felt the spells were very similar.And never did I say England owns the fantasy genre.Don't you think your comment is rude reciprocation to my simple comment.Everyone was kind enough to tell me this stuff has been very existent from time immemorial.I read alot of fiction and watch a lot of movies in my spare time in all types of genres.So I have my fair share of knowledge regarding the existence of spells,demons and immortals. I just implied that the spells in this particular book reminded me of HP in most parts. And if you are talking about race wise,I'm an Asian myself and live in Asia. Also I have experienced Chinese culture myself since I lived in China for 7 years to study medicine and now a certified doctor in my home-country. To put it simply being inspired doesn't mean to copy and in no way was downgrading any writer.

It's the magical stuff. The opening of time frames,how their weapons have to choose their owners,retrieving swords mostly from water.how Hua Binan can change his face,Chu wanning appearing as a translucent soul,going into the memory scroll like the pensive,having invisibility spells around the house or themselves.I don't remember everything but many things reminded me of HP while reading it. It felt like she got inspired and gave it her own twist which converts the story into her own.

I'm not accusing the writer of plagiarism or anything. I love the novel and I like it even better than mdzs. But did anyone feel she got influenced and inspired by Harry Potter a lot? I find so many similarities.It’s intriguing to feel the familiarity as an avid HP fan.

Can someone tell me why YZT suddenly decided to leave in the middle of the night when he had already asked jYZ to come with him? I haven’t watch the special ep but only clips.

I somehow want this to be a love triangle. I want both Daon and Shinwoo to be in love with taekyung and fight for him. Though I want him to end up with Shinwoo at last.

Before you watch any ,go for I told sunset about you. This series is the endgame.Top-notch,a masterpiece. Everything else seems bland after this.It's the best out there and I wouldn't even categorise it as BL. It's far beyond having a specific genre. It's everyone's childhood straight or gay.And do let me know how you liked it after you are done.

Now breaking down the characters. The cheating part,I’m in no way defending Teh’s behaviour or justifying it. He was wrong but let’s also try analysing the process which lead to such behaviour and why Oh can be as forgiving.
First of all Teh has been feeling the distance between Oh and him growing. To be told that their dreams are not the same anymore after what they went through and even losing his seat to Oh is obviously a huge blow to him because He built his dreams not only with himself as a character but Oh as one. And for it to be shattered is heart breaking. But he found it in himself to eventually realise that Oh should choose how he lives and supported him all the way. But then after the realisation of not being interested in the same thing makes it all harder to spend time together because even we as couples when we find things which that don’t match ,we start looking for friends to share the interest with.This is reality.
We can’t deny that he felt distant and lonely with Oh starting to do many different Things with his friends ,even to the point of getting a tattoo without consulting him. It was a surprise but normally couples consult about such stuffs. His distAnt love and failing career made him all the more vulnerable. This is when Oh and Teh should have communicated.And between all this he found Jai as someone he can lean on to,confide to with all the positive feedsbacks and encouragement Jai gave him making him feel connected,the ability to share the same sort of interest,the understanding between them,to be able to talk about their worries made him sway and mistake that comfort. But I wouldn't name it love.It was a momentary feeling of attachment. And whether we accept or not we do have this momentary feelings of connection with someone in the same state during our hard times in reality even if we don’t act on it.
2nd,Teh dating Airy. I felt bad the first time I heard that but let's be real. No matter how much we were in love with someone at the end the day,after few years we move on. This is life. Oh did the same with Bas.He tried to patch things up and they have been separated for years ,it's fine for Teh to look for comfort in someone new.
Their breakup,we all have these thoughts when we decide whether we want to spend the rest of our life with the same person no matter how much we liked him/her at the end of the day. There is always a moment when we would figure out whether they are the one. And we only get to know these feelings after being in a relationship. We don't just look at a person and decide "oh! yes,she/he is the one" right away.These feelings come after spending time ,learning about each other and finding a common point in the relationship.
Lastly,Oh forgiving Teh.When Teh cheated,instantly my reaction was Oh should never go back. But after the series is completed,I understand his decision and it made my take on the subject all the more emotional and beautiful. He did cheat but we also have to accept that Teh was a very good bf. He had always been giving towards Oh since the start. He had been compromising, struggling on his own and was forever gentle towards Oh. When they entered uni, Teh commuted from Oh's to his dorm compromising,understanding and being loving. Sure ,Oh loved him a lot but Teh has always been very giving towards him,always attending to his emotions and needs more than he did.And with this history present,Oh will always miss him. They are the sides of the same coin. That attachment that they have is unbreakable.childhood to now,it has always been two of them together. Like Bas said,some get back together and stay happy,some don't.Teh is bound to change.He did cheat and in no way was that correct but that also made him realise how important Oh is to him.So forgiving with a history as their's is acceptable. And to see that they will have an even crazier love and much more stronger connection makes the ending beautiful.

This is the after effect and in depth analysis the of the characters after the series is completed.Itsay and ipytm are parts of the same series in continuation. Whether it’s comparable depends on person to person. I do agree ITSAY is more close to heart but why because it feels nostalgic,reminding us of our childhood days which almost all the people of the 90s gen can relate to. And this fact made the 1st part a masterpiece. IPYTM on the other hand leans towards the more realistic growth in life where we mature,drop unrealistic expectations and learn the hard ways of life. Both parts have portrayed reality in two different senses when we felt we could be everything and forever exist to the mundane reality of accepting changes,figuring adulthood and maturity overlapped with pain and hardships whether be it career or love. ITSAY is everyone’s story while ipytm is the character's story with resemblance to our very own. Most of us are still in the 2nd phase and would feel there is a sort of distance between the character’s reality and ours but we will take time to realise until we are past that age that it’s more or less relatable and feel nostalgic rewatching this as well.

I hope it's just a rumor because it's disgusting to imagine two characters which had a really over the boundary sexual relation being portrayed as father-son even if in an adopted sense. It screams incest. How do they expect people who read the novel to watch the series and those who watched the series to read the novel later. Makes me want to throw up. I can accept friendship or soulmate thing like in untamed but this one is absolute nonsense if it's true. Funny they think it's not ok to broadcast a BL but it's alright to portray characters if connected to the novel literally depicts incest.

Hate the character like how you would hate a cheater and not the actor and the hate should be because the actor has done a wonderful job portraying the character. The hate should be because the series is too realistic,too good in depicting real life. The series is a 10/10 while the character is a minus because the actors are +++++.

Be honest. How many on this earth never cheated,never felt attracted to another while in a relationship? The love we desire hardly exist. If I dare say only 10% in this world stay true to their partners. And this realistic portrayal is the reason why we fell in love with itsay and so should we with ipytm.

1st season I supported him because he was figuring it out but now? And both in 1st and 2nd season Oh is the victim. Teh keeps playing the confused,figuring out card . If I was Oh,it doesn’t matter how much my lover beg me,I will leave him. This wasn’t for his acting class,he felt something for Jai. And poor Oh helping him even with his busy schedule. Teh is just a pathetic character in my eyes now. Selfish,obsessed and a damn cheater. We kept trying to justify his character but since ep 1,he has always been wrong.

I’m so frustrated and done with Teh.i have supported him wholeheartedly but this was just straight up cheating. Oh doesn’t deserve such an insult. It’s he who is always tending to all of Teh’s emotional rollovers while he himself stays devoted to him. I somehow don’t even want a happy ending for their relationship anymore. A sad ending would feel even more satisfying now because then at least Oh can find someone far better. I miss Bas.
