All I can say is that I really hope they do the character of Arthit justice with the drama. He is one of my all-time favorite Thai BL characters in the novel and I hope they bring him to life in the drama, just as he is in the novel. Please don't ruin his character with the drama.
I mean, you cant expect to cover a manga of 5 volumes in a 12 episode long series. And the episodes are 25 minutes…
None of us who do not work in the entertainment industry know exactly how much money these companies have in order to make their series. As for GMMTV being "the most famous entertainment company," yes, I am sure they are in Thailand. However, I did a search for famous entertainment companies in Asia, and GMMTV was not listed at all. By the time I got thru 5 pages of search results, with no mention of GMMTV, I concluded that it was not that famous outside of Thailand.
And GMMTV being "the most famous entertainment company" has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Japanese entertainment companies, time and again make adaptations of manga and 98% of the time do not finish the story. They continuously disappoint the fans of the manga after getting their hopes up. We read the manga, love it and are so excited when we hear there will be an adaptation of it. Then we, most of the time, love the adaptation but feel slighted because it isn't finished. But we think, maybe we will get a season 2 or a movie even to finish the story. However, 98% of the time, we never do. We are left hanging with an unfinished story, longing for more, over and over again.
Why bother if they aren't even thinking about doing the story properly? Why continue to disappoint manga fans over and over again? Do they enjoy making fans angry because they only do part of the story? Would it hurt to plan properly and give it time to have the money they need in order to make the series in a way to tell the complete story?

While I agree that the manga isn't over yet, the original part of the manga was finished 5 years ago, leading all readers to believe it was finished until suddenly they dropped 4 Seasons out of nowhere. But they are infamous for not giving all the manga in a drama series, Cherry Magic is a prime example of this. Cherry Magic gives us only up to the point where Adachi and Kurosawa get together, but the manga continues on to show their wedding and them living together. It can be done, if they decided to make the episodes longer, after all, the Thai version followed the manga just fine. All they would have to do is make the episodes longer so they could cover the complete material. It is just that they choose to have shorter episodes and therefore choose not to cover the entire manga, expecting viewers to be happy with what we get.
While this was done so very well, and I really enjoyed it, it didn't cover everything that was in the manga. There was still so much left. I really hope they decide to do a season 2 to finish off the manga, especially since they made a secondary part to the manga to further the story. But this drama didn't even cover all of the full original part of the manga.
this is happening (please don't), because "omegaverse/mpreg" isn't bl or gay. it's "straight" with extra steps.…
Let me ask you a question. Have you read Omegaverse novels? Not Chinese or Japanese ones, but American ones? I have read hundreds of them, some excellent, and some poorly written, to the point I couldn't bear to finish them. I am friends with authors who write Omegaverse. And the ones I know, they write it in order to give their gay couples families, blood-related families. Children who are part of both of them. They don't write their characters as a male/female portrayal. Most of the time, the alpha and omega in their books know they are mates BEFORE the omega goes into heat. Of the hundreds of Omegaverse novels I have personally read, only a tiny percentage have had "incapacitated omegas" due to heat, left unprotected to be taken advantage of by alphas. Most of the heat cycles take place AFTER mating. Are there books/manga like what you describe? Yes, because there are people out there who like that kind of thing. But there are people who like shotacon, so that is written. There are people who like actual rape manga/novels, so those get written. There are people who like incestuous manga, so that gets written. However, if you actually go beyond the Chinese/Japanese literary world, you would find that Omegaverse isn't as "rapey" as you think it is.
You didn't read the novel then. Noh and Phun have sex but they are not too explicit. I think there is a very generic…
I know nothing about Hormones or Degrassi because I didn't watch them. I didn't plan to watch them so I didn't read about them, I didn't check out the actors, I didn't even pay any attention to them. I haven't even watched any English language series in nearly a decade.
As for Make It Right, I hated that drama. I disliked quite a few early dramas. But the majority of early dramas I watched, were done before I knew anything about finding out about actors. I was still really new to Thai bl and didn't even know how to go about searching for the actors. It has only been the last 4-5 years that I've started doing that.
However, nothing will change my mind about the wrongness of sexualizing minors. You can feel the way you do and I will feel the way I do. That is why they are opinions. No one's is right or wrong, just our own.
Enjoy watching your dramas. I won't be replying again.

In the original Lovesick, only Captain was underage, which I didn't know until years later. As for Hormones and Degrassi, I haven't watched those and don't plan to.

I have no issues if they used actors who were of age, and not ones who were aged 13-15 for a drama that was very centered around sex and sexual context. That is not being prudish, it is considered not sexualizing minors. I have no issues with the storyline, as long as they used actors who were age appropriate. Lovesick is one of my favorite dramas, it was my first ever Thai bl. But use age appropriate actors for the storyline.

Yes, we are ALL entitled to our own opinions. I believe they shouldn't be using minors anything that even hints at sexual content. You believe it is fine, that's your right, your choice. As a mom, I feel minors should not be portrayed that way. But again, my beliefs. You feel however you want to feel and decide what you want. If they follow the novel and the original drama, there is sexual content, even though it isn't explicit, between multiple characters. Again, you do you. Enjoy your drama with the minors.

Does Aim not have sex with multiple men? In the original, was it not recorded and passed around? And in this version, the girl portraying Aim is under 17, she was at least 19 in the original. I read the novel and just because it wasn't explicit does not mean there wasn't sexual content. It doesn't have to be explicit for it to be sexual, especially when involving minors, some as young as 13.
"Guardian" is probably the only bromance option I can give you with supernatural theme. The others (non-supernatural…
I've watched Guardian (a few times), Word of Honor (definitely more BL than bromance), Under the Skin (excellent drama), Killer and Healer (loved it), Untamed (many times, favorite drama) and KeixYaku. I've started Mysterious Lotus Casebook, but it was very comedic and I wasn't in the mood for comedy at the time. I didn't watch Justice in the Dark since it was never finished.
I just finished watching this for the 4th time in the past two months. I've read the novel twice as well. I am feening badly for something similar. Does anyone know of any dramas that are similar to Spirealm, bromance (absolutely no m/f romance), with suspense/thriller/supernatural theme?
Hi, i haven't watched the original, so i don't know, maybe it's worse. But in this movie, the mains probably had…
Since you haven't watched the originals and just came to this knowing nothing about Takumi-kun, then it is understandable that you would be confused. But my comment was for those who had seen the originals and were still saying it was horrible and that the originals were the best. I watched all the original movies more than a decade ago when I first discovered yaoi/bl. And I was happy to watch them because they were some of the very few Japanese movies that had good/happy endings. But that doesn't mean that they were done well or that the actors had chemistry, because they didn't. This remake, in my opinion, was done very well and the leads actually had chemistry with each other. Yes they didn't have much screen time, but that just leads up to extra movies, if the company decides that this one did well enough to warrant remaking the others. A slow build romance is much better, in my opinion, than rushing one with characters or actors who have no chemistry.
