"Into the Blue Clouds" has surpassed 10,000 hits on Youku, with Hou Minghao's portrayal of Ji Bozai being a key driver . The success of "Into the Blue Clouds" demonstrates Hou Minghao's acting prowess and market influence, proving his command and appeal in period dramas. Through his "chosen face," precise interpretation of his empathetic acting, and deep understanding of the character's core, he has crafted Ji Bozai into a three-dimensional, rich, and charismatic figure, a powerful engine driving the series' popularity.
Right, back then no one know how much we are so against this, and how much hmh suffered with the backlash while carried the drama alone when he is also the victim here, at least next week the filming will be warp up and i hope next project he's not bcm a tools for the capitals child again 😑
Just now, you talked about many touching moments about others' recognition of you. so, during these nine years,…
“what’s the difference between yourself now and nine years ago?”
👌🏻: such a profound question... the difference is age.
“there’s a popular phrase recently, ‘that was the road i came from.’ if you were to use one word to describe the road you’ve traveled in the past nine years, what would it be?”
👌🏻: there are smooth roads, bumpy roads, roads that go through storm, and there are roads where rainbow appears after the storm.

Just now, you talked about many touching moments about others' recognition of you. so, during these nine years,…
“what word would you like to use for the road towards the next ninth anniversary?”
👌🏻: how old will I be for the next ninth anniversary?
When i'm 37. i want to keep my childlike heart. i deeply agree with the saying that being an actor means treating yourself like a child, playing freely and experiencing everything.
when i’m 37, i hope to keep this childlike heart. i hope to continue keeping my passion for acting.
when i’m 37, i dream of becoming a director. dreaming of achieving the dream of directing.
at 37, i’ll still play basketball without losing my touch. i want my body to stay as healthy as it is now.
no matter how old i get, i hope my parents stay the same as they are now.
Just now, you talked about many touching moments about others' recognition of you. so, during these nine years,…
“is there a moment in these nine years that deeply moved you and made you feel what you’re doing is meaningful?”
👌🏻: when you asked this, the first thing that came to my mind was, if i remember correctly, the birthday party held in beijing in 2019. that was an unforgettable experience because i rarely cry in daily life—i’m a very strong person and almost never shed tears. but at that birthday party, i cried.
a more recent moment would be related to the character zhao yuanzhou, seeing how much everyone loves him and reading so many comments on social media evaluating his portrayal. people analyzing every detail of my performance and speculating on how i brought this character to life—it’s incredibly touching. i think if a character can be observed so carefully, t must be because there are parts of the performance that struck a chord with the audience. when i saw how everyone connected with zhao yuanzhou, understood him, and feared losing him, i was truly moved.
👌🏻: another moment that deeply moved me—i remember it was during a filming, i took some time off to come to beijing and joined the #IAmNobody crew for a dinner. this was right after we finished filming the first season, and the show hadn’t aired yet. at the time, it was more about anticipation.
what really moved me was when i saw the director’s display cabinet. there were many exquisite figurines inside, including one of wang ye. i really liked it, and asked him, “can i take this?” the director said, “you can take it, because you are him.”
at that moment, i was really touched. i don’t know why, perhaps it was a sense of destiny with wang ye. wang ye has shaped who i am today.
👌🏻: another particularly touching moment was during the filming of #WhenWeWereYoung with #WuYanshu-laoshi. there was one scene where grandma hua supposed to act as if she didn’t recognize me. however, maybe because of some subconscious emotional connection, she suddenly started crying. that moment left me heartbroken yet deeply moved. after the scene was completed, i immediately went to hug grandma hua, and the two of us tried to ease that overwhelming sadness together.

Just now, you talked about many touching moments about others' recognition of you. so, during these nine years, what moments made you feel proud/recognize yourself?”
👌🏻: during #Tenday #十天之后回到现实 "capture the flag" game, i ended up representing our small team and won first place. at that moment, i felt absolutely ecstatic.
i also feel proud that i successfully build a basketball court in hengdian (FADE-AWAY court), where i could invite many of my good friends to play at my court. it was a dream come true because i have loved playing basketball since i was young. many basketball enthusiasts dream of having their own court and i’ve fulfilled that dream. through this court, i’ve also made more friends who share the same passion for basketball and provided a very convenient space for them to play. these are things i feel quite proud of.
Let me share my favorit interview from HMH nine years anniversary debuted.
"How do you view the different voices from the outside world?”
👌🏻: first of all, you need to have a clear sense of what's right in your own heart. if it's my fault, i’ll admit it. but if it’s not my fault, i’ll stand firm no matter what.
so when i come across comments that are irrelevant to me or groundless speculations, my initial reaction might be like, “ha, what nonsense is this?” but after thinking it through, i just laugh it off. people who knows me, understands me, or knows the truth, they know how things really are. so it doesn’t matter.
for the things that are wrong, i reflect on them. for the things that aren’t wrong, i don’t waste my energy overthinking. that’s the best way to deal with these voices.
