I wouldn't mind seeing her in modern, since those tend to have less episodes compared to long drawn out historical ones. As for Republican era, i do like the fashion and styles of that era and TSY would look so gorgeous, but then not a fan of republican dramas, they tend to be filled with a lot of angst. I don't think we be seeing her doing Wuxia, since that requires a lot of wire works, and we know our girl is afraid of heights 😅😅.

Loving that we get 3 eps. per day. I tend to lose interest when I have to wait so long in between. Loving the first 5 episodes so far. I just wished they highlight the school more and the pace was a bit slower. It felt rushed. All the details that was put in, and we hardly get to see the books they read or the magic they were taught.

Before, I did wonder why TSY isn't a spokesperson for any high end brands of jewelry, handbags, or clothes. But now I have a feeling she might not want to pursue that endorsement route. With those endorsements, the expectations are much higher and she has to participate in more events, and our girl is such an introvert. LOL. and besides, endorsements like that is probably brokered through agencies, and agencies is all about making money. Can you imagine what their cut is like? Even though TSY's endorsements aren't high end, at least she knows she does not have to share with anyone. It truly is a great thing to not belong to an agency and free to make your own decisions.

This was not a backlogged drama. It was filmed January 27, 2024- July 6 2024. What I'm most confused is why it took 5 months to film and the end results is like this. This drama is clichéd and outdated. I blame the source novel and the script. and Ren Jia Lun's styling is very outdated , he looks too old for the high pony look. I think He looks the best in Under the Power. Total fan of his through that drama. I also blame Youku.This platform is the absolute worst when it comes to marketing and drama releases. it's the shittiest platform. I cringed when my favorites land a drama on Youku.
I do hope it gets better later on 🤞
