well, she got assigned to a different "lower" position but I'm watching on Viki and the last few episodes haven't come out yet, so I'm not sure if that's all that will happen to her
she just keeps trying to get them fired/arrested/in general trouble because she wants the university spot for her boyfriend and the room that the leads were given by the factory.
although, even though she pisses me off to no end, it is kind of nice that she's causing these issues because of the rules of society at this time and NOT because she has feelings for the ML. like just to be clear, she's not interested in him at all. mainly, she just envies/hated the FL because the FL is obviously more talented then her at literature/writing
the funniest thing about this comment is that Esther Yu doesn't even know you exist and wouldn't like or want to be associated with you even if she did

Yeah, I understand why she was upset about the phone call thing (I would be too if I were in that situation), it's just the way she was so spitefully gleeful when the FL was clearly not doing well that rubbed me the wrong way.
I also disliked how she also never directly told the FL how she felt about the 2ML. Which is what led to the whole confession fiasco, which she clearly held against the FL

I don't remember the exact wording but, after they meet again, there is one point where he (in an EXTREMELY roundabout and indirect way) asks her if he still has a chance with her. the FL (not understanding what he was actually asking) answers in a way that he thinks means yes.
later, when she has moved on with the ML, the 2ML tries to blame her for them not working out when he was the one who never properly communicated his feelings because he's a COWARD.
I hope this helped clarify why I and others dislike the 2ML so much. I read the novel earlier this year, so I'd have to re-read it again to pull any smaller examples. But these are the two big ones that I remember off the top of my head
