That's a very good interpretation of the drama based on the current ep to date. It does seems to make more sense now. Jin Gu will definitely protect Hana from any probable harm. Yeo Jin seems to b losing her mind over her grandson. The 'safety net' may be an impulsive thought by Yeo Jin who wants Eun Chong sans of danger, & at the same time wants a reunion asap. Once she lives with Hana together, she may (just a wild guess) turn to protect Hana too as if she is her own daughter. And episode 100 may show Yeo Jin & Hana attending the first mother-daughter tour. 😅

But Hana may seek revenge on Myeongji & Seyeong once she found out the truth behind her bestie's untimely death. Who knows, like you pointed out - Myeong is the real monster who committed all the misdeeds. I am ready for the surprises (again) next week. 😅
Prepare some kleenex before anyone starts on ep25. Felt emotionally charged watching the scenes between Eun Chong & Yeo Jin. I always enjoy Na Young Hee's dramas; her acting chops is no joke. Am glad that Jin Gu is fending Se yeong off by not sharing Yeo Jin's schedule ( ie checking out on her grandson), which irritated SY very much.

True that for most daily K dramas, but with a few exceptions, at least the FL is not some damsel in distress but a strong character. Doubt I will quit the show for this one.
This drama is moving at a fast pace. Chairwoman Yeo Jin received a photo of Eun Chong to her sent to her phone, & she quickly figured out that he could be Yu Jin/Du Na's son. It is getting more n more difficult to miss watching the next ep as every new ep kept luring one to keep watching on.
The way Du na's dad's swift manner is gathering her late daughter and grandson information left me in awe. Though I'm somewhat puzzled why he couldnt find her in time before her untimely death.
In any case , I am still looking forward to each episode. Love FL & the cute Eun chong. Eun chong got me tickled when he asked Jin Goo if he has a gf & also tried to reenact the scene ( JG came to the rescue when EC kindergarten classmate's granny was unruly in front of FL house) to Ji Chang.
It is impossible to wait for the drama to finish airing all the eps first and binge watching. Each epsiode kept giving me little surprises. Clapped for joy when Hana is slowly standing up for herself. Was amused when Hana shoved her handbag towards SY & the juice was spilled on SY's dress instead. Super hilarious!!
