Well obviously novels always gonna be better than live adaptation, i has read half of the novel as far for live adaptation I think the actors doing good job they portray character of the novel I see people complain about eliot and say he doesn't show much emotion hua yong character are literally like that in the novel I think he is doing an amazing job , my complain is directing some of the scenes is really bad especially the fighting of shen wenlang and sheng shao you it was not good they should have made it more realistic like they didn't even touch each other during the fighting scene , also the one hua yong hitting shen 's men ( I was looking forward to this scene i have imagined how he is gonna hit them but that scene was also dissapointing )

I really find a large number of revenged love fan very toxic ,they really bring down any bl drama just to praise that drama , like they are acting like kpop fans who can only praise one group and bring every other group down ,just hope they will not attack the actors of desire because I really don't trust RL chinese fan .

Revenged love fans are really the most toxic bl drama fans i have seen right know , like when that show got postponed for one week they were all complaining that their show got banned why desire is not banned after only 3 days of airing abo desire, while RL had 10 ep already aired , or complaining about why desire getting aired when RL still airing , and not talking about all the things they say about authors .

What is more disturbing is majourity of bl watcher are women and feels like majourity has fetish of seeing a man rape another one , and the fact they attack anyone who critisizing the show is really disturbing and they call it fiction like that make a difference I can not imagine if this was a straight couple this show would have seen the light and getting this popular , I'm just hoping this show doesn't give light to producer to make these kind of bl drama in the future .

I like the main couple more , i actually not even interested in the second couple like i have read many novel with second couple plot line so kinda bored with it but main couple plot ismore interesting
One reason i think people like the second couple more is due to their seterotype of gay couple i saw many comment in social media saying hua yong is too pretty to be top and we will not watch because of that .

I think they act like the novel , if you read the novel they seem to act majourity of dialogue of the novel ,also they toned down some of the scene especially with hua yong crying scene , what i didnt like was the acting of sheng secretaory when hua yong saw him putting the pen into his bag the emotion was not It he didnt even look suprised or scared that he got caught like in the novel
