Introverted Peak, at first we thought he was just selfish and only thought of himself, especially since he refused to take responsibility, we hated him a lot and most of the opinions were against him and rightfully so, but episode 11 came to explain his point of view, and we discovered that he had slept for years in his shell, because of his sadness over the separation from his mother, and seeing his sad widowed father, he did not know what he could do to make him happy.. when the decision to marry came, he decided to remain silent, not only because he was gay, but also because he wanted to give his father something that would make him happy after losing the source of happiness at home.. in fact we always see characters who suffer from problems with their parents, they hate them or stand against them and against their opinions and reactionary beliefs, but what happened with Peak over the years was the opposite, he did not care if his father was reactionary or not, all he cared about was his father's happiness, because he felt that he was his only family.. the decision to marry was made while they were in university, so he was comfortable being with his childhood friend throughout that period, the show didn't show us if Peak was in a relationship with anyone during college or not, but we can guess that he wasn't since Jane only explained about his secret crush in high school...
