Honestly this is the first time I heard term "Idol Period Drama" which KTTPH got this label for. I have to google this term to understand the meaning lol 😆
I thought because HMH is an idol/singer then his drama is labeled as "Idol Period Drama" but google says a bit different and if we rely on google answer I think, most of historical/period nowadays are "Idol Period Drama", it's really rare to get "pure" period drama but KTTPH got this label which sounds like a mock.
It's all about supply and demand, any production teams would want their drama to be loved by many people so I don't think "Idol Period Drama" is a bad thing. It just the way the marketing works. (Even though I don't like that label at all, it doesn't sit well with me.)
