Agreed it wasnt really revenge focused but she was always working towards getting near her former family tounravel…
Yeah!! I was really hyped from Ch 200 onwards. Like god!! it was really satisfied seeing everything comes to light one by one, and home gurl Yan Yan finally got what is rightfully hers (even though she didn't get the credits as General Fei Hong, but still, the He Family 1.0 and Xu Family still got punished for what they did to her.) Seems like the Drama version, there won't be Xu Zhiheng, nor the elders of the He Family, and they seems to only change her surname to a different "He". I think in the drama version, she will reclaim her title rightfully as General Fei Hong.
Ohh dang the plot twist, bruh. I was so shocked like that shocked face meme lol. XD
I didn't expect that last song to start playing man. My eyes welled up a bit, but not really emotional. It was fun, but dang!! 2h and It still felt rushed.
But still it was really fun. You know what element can combat technology and alien's civilization? Sorcery and magic, lol!! It was so entertaining watching how that played out.
Ep 8: Home gurl can tolerate her food, clothes, incense, and allowance being cut down, but not her favorite walnut lol. I laughed way too hard when she suddenly exploded 😭😭 Well, I'd be angry too if I couldn't get access to my favorite snack anymore.
I love the novel! And also i agree it's not really a revenge story and the FL is actually a pretty happy person…
Lmao yeah, she was really an optimistic person despite everything that happened to her, home gurl even made jokes about it DX. Even though life dealt some serious blows to her, she still maintains her sarcastic remarks and amusement. Heck, even Xiao Jue couldn't win in their arguments, her teasings and out-of-the-pocket comebacks always made him speechless, and he couldn't get angry at her lmao. Even if he really did get angry, she had the "magic spell" that made it go away really fast. Well granted, I read online that this novel is lighter than the Author's previous works.
Ohh and about He Yan's identity. He Yan 1.0 and He Yan 2.0 have different faces, that's why everyone from her…
This can be a way, but the blind Madam Xu would meet Xiao Jue instead of the actual He Yan. This can mess up the "I want to see the moon again." wish at Yuhua Temple. He Yan 2.0 was an obnoxious girl who only cares about herself and disregard everyone else. That's all we knew of her from the novel, giving her a different route from your suggestions can make us emphasized her more, like still she was also a person with her own personality and identity, He Yan 1.0 taking over her body is urgh... Yeah Btw, the He Family would feel suspicious of how this He Yan doesn't know any Martial Arts even though she was the Flying Phoenix General, this would cause them to realize that actual He Yan isn't here in the house, and would lead to them hunting down the real He Yan too. But how would He Yan 2.0 agree to actually swap place with He Yan 1.0 into the He Family tho? Like that's just wasting her life away.
Ohh and by the way!!! I saw some people got disappointed and dropped the novel because they had the wrong expectations that this is a revenge story, but clearly, it's not. This novel of Qian Shan Cha Ke is little bit different from the author's previous works. The FL, He Yan doesn't live for revenge, she doesn't want her second life to be wasted on getting revenge on her previous family. She was just trying to get accustomed to her new body, but shit happened. The circumstances pushes her to become a soldier again, and ultimately brought her back to her previous family's matter to solve it once and for all.
Since she won't be "reborn" in the drama version, I wonder if the screenwriter might shift the story toward revenge heavy or not. I really hope not!!
The novel's story focuses on the Female Lead's second chance at life, but it's not centered around her revenge. It's only became the focus toward the end. The majority of the novel is about her joining the military again to earn enough merits and position to get back to the capital and get justice for her previous life's self (with her previous life's experience of course). She would also cross path with the ML again in this lifetime. Her development as an individual as "her true self", not the disguised He Rufei like her previous life.
I finished the novel, now I'm stressing and in denial because the drama's not even out yet!!! 😭😭 I smiled,…
Ohh and about He Yan's identity. He Yan 1.0 and He Yan 2.0 have different faces, that's why everyone from her 1st life didn't recognize her. In the drama, Zhou Ye played both of them. If Xiao Jue met with the blinded He Yan 1.0 at Yuhua Temple, he has seen her face, he would already recognize her even sooner then. AND EVEN MORE SO WITH THE HE FAMILY!!!
Another thing is with her name. He Family 1.0 has the same Chinese surname “禾” as He Family 2.0, that's why they didn't found out about He Yan 1.0 transmigrated into He Yan 2.0's body. The character description for He Rufei, aka, the cousin her family forced her to disguised as, has the surname “何” instead of “禾”. Then she only changed the surname by one character to disguise herself? Lmao!!! Official records are so out in the open, well they only have 40 ep, goddammit!!!

How will they explain and play out the first major plot point of the story tho, like her being married off, blinded, and killed by the He and Xu Family. Since there's no Xu Zhiheng (Her 1st life's husband) here, there won't be He Wanru either. We don't see He Yuanliang, and He Yuansheng here either. (Her biological father, and uncle) I might be wrong since the cast might be added later, but still bruh!! And He Yan is able to see again? Who rescued and cured her? Liu Buwang? But he's not a divine doctor or anything lol. Plus, if they moved the Liu Buwang's plots point forward, then he just supposed to disappear and appear like a Genie like that lmao?!!!
I finished the novel, now I'm stressing and in denial because the drama's not even out yet!!! 😭😭 I smiled, I laughed, I giggled, I chuckled, I was flabbergasted, I cried, it was such an emotional rollercoaster!!! Bro, I hate the censorship man. They had to change the story, like literally scrapping her 2nd life's family off the drama. He Sui, He Yunsheng, He Yinxing, Qing Mei... No, my boi He Yunsheng's relationship with He Yan was so heartwarming, and endearing!!! 😭😭 Now it ripped into pieces, they even deleted Lin Shuanghe, the best wingman and Xiao Jue x He Yan No. 1 shipper. Those characters have so many dynamic and impacted the story in many ways. I'm afraid the drama will be heavily watered down and disappoint the novel fans. God please don't plot crash towards the end!!! Heck even the Final Battles seemed to change as from what I observed from the leaked bts photos.
Edit: I checked the photos again and again, and I might have wrong assumption, but god knows how will turn out. I'll just have to wait for the release then 😩😩

The FL's behavior could be classified as a stalker lmao. Home gurl be running around capturing him her little camera 😭😭
Why did they have to pull the truck-kun before the end bruh!!! It was 3 AM in the morning and I was so awakened that my eyes widened like two eggs. *sigh* to make him wait for her I guess... And dude she got injured with the same leg TWICE 💀💀

I just realized this remake put a gender reverse spin on the story. Kiyohara-san, as always, embodied her character beautifully. I haven't watched the OG but given how the ML was the slow one instead, and the plot... It might not sit well with people lol. Even while watching I imagined how would it be perceived if it was the ML instead, and Bam!! I found out about the OG lmao.
Naur they robbed us of her backstory again. 😭😭 I hope there will be another season or special about that. They teased us with her in a school uniform and left us at that?!!! Nah, I want more!!!
I shouldn't have read some comments here first before finishing and ended up figuring out who the killer was, but still that plot twist in the end was so good!!!! 😭😭 I really thought home gurl got the Wednesday Treatment.
