It's been years that I watched either version's and both are really special for me. I adored both version's. I also found Jang Hyuk's performance to be on the scale of genius! Just the same as Queen Elizabeth awarded Laurence Olivier the honour of a knighthood and became a ‘Sir’ ... HAHAHA! Ye Mei Xiao met Yun Zhen when she was a child. He was a young man and worried about her safety because she didn’t want to go home yet. She wanted to go to the amusement park but her parents would never take her. So he respectfully followed her and spent the day with a lonely little girl. She was wise enough to realize he was also very lonely and on the ferris wheel they promised each other they would always remember each other. They lost contact and it was 20 years later that she, by chance, met him again in college. He had not changed in aging. But he had forgotten her! Her caring for him extended through her whole life. She understood his loneliness, which he would never admit to others. It was only when he was in trouble that he remembered and realized that she was “that” little girl! His mother’s story is depicted in the drama “Dong Yi” Kyungjong of Joseon really was his older half brother. Prince Mil Poong really was a descendant to King Injo and continued to harass Prince Yeoning even after he became King Yeongjo. Park Moon Soo really was Prince Yeoning’s right hand man and served with Yeongjo as a secret government inspector for the King fighting corruption of local officers in the name of the King. This helps me to understand this drama, so I am less fearful when I know the truth of history. What will the writer do? Of course, this is all about story telling. So I’m in for the duration!

There are so many actors that SBS has not released the entire cast. I am recognizing so many, but I don't know their names. That drives me Bonkers!! It makes me want to just wait until it's finished.
