I felt CX really love XL even as a child. The pain in his eyes I can feel it. But I guessed the responsibility that he had to carry on his shoulder and the promises that he made and the protection he wanted to provide goes beyond….. one may think it as a act of selfishness but I felt is a price to pay for what he is and what he is going to become.

I wonder who did she really actually fall in love first without realising it..
