I get that this was a very bad time for him, but while feeling bad for him, I also feel bad for Porsche, who did everything in his power to make it possible for Chay to go there, and he just skips it x( Anyway, do we know how this issue ends? Bc it never gets adressed again... or did it? Not to sure. Currently rewatching and just started ep.12.

That actually sounds amazing!! I especially love how you phrased "grow as a couple and as individuals". This is exactly it! So many shows follow, like I mentioned, this break-up & finding each other in the end again plot, which is old, boring & lacks creativity, esp. when there are so many plot possibilities with "grow as a couple and as individuals".
And the "break-up" you described makes sense and actually I'd hardly call it one, but it fits the plot & the flow and at least in the novel doesn't get dragged out.
Honestly, your comment calmed me down :) bc I really love these two and I'm at a point where I'd rather have no 2nd season at all as to witness a break-up plot yet again, so it'd have been really sad if that happened to Hira & Kiyoi. But witnessing them learing how to grow and better communicate!? I'm here for it :D
Just saying, but: I'm gonna riot if the "season 2" curse will it here. Meaning any kind of this damn old uncreative "break-up" plots they tend to use for 2nd seasons. Especially since we only had like 5 minutes with them AS a couple. Now I'd like to see them do & face things AS a couple!

I kinda like school dramas, though nah not high school, university at least. But they need a special twist, bc yes, ultimately I prefer something more mature! My parents are 10y apart, married since 42 years & still happily together. But nothing's stopping u from watching something else :) I mean this show is really hardcore otherwise xD

I'd say Jeff plays an alien, who literally crashes on earth & eventually starts crashing at "Barcode's" place, while more & more aliens appear from somewhere for some reason. We shall see :)

Maybe sweet, but ultimately the "kick" was missing. But add aliens (or any twisted circumstances) in the mix and I'm definitely here for it :D

Exactly my point. Couples obviously find each other in Season 1. But SO MANY TIMES the plot of any sequel, be it movie or 2nd season, breaks them apart again, so we see them finding their way back together again and I really really hate that.
