I'm so excited for this one, the angst is sooooo my type of angst. Like the emotional scenes in the novel hit me like a truck. Hope they keep those.

As someone put it this is genuinely for the arts and not the charts so if you expect perfect characters making zero mistakes u are not going to like it, but I really really loved this one. Genuinely loved it in the cinematic sense... really good cinematography and directing. And characters that u got mad at, were idiots sometimes, made huge mistakes, but I still couldn't make myself hate them, because just as I saw them in their worst, I saw them at their best, and it was hard to forget how much their passion and love shined then.

The lead actors in this did a great job the emotional scenes hit me soooo well loved them together so much... Also I do love the sense of tragic doomed love and looming danger in here so I shall close my eyes on its shortcomings 😅😁

now how do I erase my memory and watch this for the first time again... I MISS THIS SHOW SM THEY ARE EVERYTHING TO ME

I'm having so much fun watching this, it has been so long since the comedy, chemistry and the mystery of a show were all so perfect at the same time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM TOGETHER SOOO MUCH THEY'RE SO ADORABLE :)))

ohhh.... but when i checked the chapter names there was a chapter named poison arrows. if anything i'm all in for the poisoned arrows actually. THIS IS WHY I NEED TO READ THE NOVEL AT LEAST UP TO THE BETRAYAL PART.

if it's like that, i feel that's good. cause the later half pf the story the way i heard about it is kinda out of character for xiao li as he's someone who respects boundaries and knows his limits, though i still have to read the whole novel to really say anything. i'm just so confused on exactly how the novel goes cause i couldn't find an accurate repo of the novel and I have read so so many different things like it's a different story.

so does anybody know around which chapter the adaption rights for gui luan were bought? might be kind of silly to ask but just want to know from what point the adaption might be different because I'm reading the novel.(not that necessarily the part before will the adapted the exact same way as the novel a lot of novels don't but still I'm just curious)

started reading this with not much expectations but now I love it a lotttt now the translation is ch 70 and I'm dying to know the rest of the story like at least up to the betrayal part and a little after that then i'll shut up

personally as far as i have read the novel(ch70) i think the ml has a veryyyy interesting character setting, i also really like the fl and the story itself, even though i was very skeptical about this at first(i thought he was very similar to xie wei but he is not), i think it could turn out great if only it gets a good director and the scriptwriter knows how to fix the parts that might be heavy on politics and thus feel draggy to some ppl and some other issues.
