As I said before, loved the drama overall, however the FL lacked to show her affection and love towards the ML at times , and the chemistry we see between the ML and FL in Hidden Love isn't here. CZY does his part well but the FL doesn't match up, I'm not talking about looks, the FL is very cute, she just seems too awkward with the ML. Something is missing.
Finished watching it a third time, love it. Finally I understood the last scene. All this time I thought xuo wudi was real ( i mean according to the drama) but its just fiction and Ma Jung never died. What an interesting twist. Love the drama even more now. CZY never lets us down whether it's Hidden Love or Dark night and dawn or Mr Bad , his acting is so natural and top notch. Encourage everyone whose a CZY fan to watch all his dramas, they are so good. I was not really interested in the second lead couple, because it took away the focus from the main storyline, but then again the last scene tells us that couple was real in her life and maybe nan xing the author wanted to add them to her story. But I think the drama would have had greater success if they only focused on the main couple like in Hidden love.

End scene only tells us the story was just that ; a story, the author says the tragedies never happened to her and she married her childhood sweetheart and says his name is ma jun( not xio wudi) and then the husband appears who is though the same actor Chen zhe yuan its not xio wudi). He Ma jun never died in real life.
I usually avoid this type of dramas as these are made to spread propaganda by Chinese government, I am only watching…

My personal favorites are Hidden Love( I guess many like it), Mr Bad, Princess and the warewolf( have seen many negative comments about it, but to me,it's a Beauty and the Beast kind of fairy tale and I loved it) and our secret is nice if you like high school romances.
