Im just bummed i was late to watch the show. Episode 1 opening scene ZYZ vs ZYC - BLEW MY MIND! 🤯 This drama is truly one of a kind. ❤️🔥 Stellar cast 🔥, OST & fight scenes. And hello, the sexy 'one-word' spell? Sooo dammn cool.
Other than the title, which may cause confusion, this mini drama (trope: ex-lovers to lovers) is such a gem ✨ with a story that is nicely written. And not cringy too! (imho). Each romantic scene was succinct and delivers the right "butterflies in the tummy feels" 😍 (given that each episode is only 15 mins). ML has very good micro-expressions, especially his eyes. 🫠 Ah love ! 💖 The perfect mini-drama when you're in between err...standard dramas. 🤭
MLs has pretty decent chemistry and acted well together. The plot though, I must admit, i did ffwd *some* of the middle parts. Otherwise, overall, it's not too bad. I've watched ZYX in other dramas before, (esp loved her in lntense Love with DYX!) but issit just me? ZYX 's make up seems quite thick in this drama. I mean thicker than usual. ZYX's fans pls dont come for me. I'm just making a casual observation.
On a totally diff note, I'm beginning to enjoying Wang Ke's acting. Before this, I saw her in Youthful Glory. I thought she did an excellent job acting as the ' stubborn-a$$ b**chy half-sister' 🤣. Loved her acting here as well. I hope she's given more meatier (but less petulant roles).

I just chanced upon a character chart (a few mins before you replied) which painted that the Emperor and Jiang Xu has a Monarch-Minister relationship. Oh well, hopefully someone wld be kind enough to explain :)
