True. It's almost depressing. I drop a lot of dramas because of it. However, America has a similar issue - it's always the same thing... cheating, stealing, abuse, violence. That's why I stopped watching American TV. Everything was the same. Asian dramas are tiring out now because everything is the same. Every now and again you get something different. It may be time to switch to a different culture. Maybe I'll start watching more Turkish shows 😂.

i understand what you're saying. however the things you mentioned are relative to the time period. Merchant abuse, discrimination, slavery -, they are prevalent in Asian dramas because they were systematic issues of that time.
