for me the ending was the best. primarily because it was unexpected. it felt different than the dramas we normally see. where the heroines gain success and love happily ever after it was so emotionally intense when the elder sister died that it pulled me all the way in. Even when Coriander "rebelled" I felt her angst and was all in. reading VIki comments most people were not happy with the ending.although I loved the ending. I also felt like the series could have ended at the human emperor's palace when they were leaving. I would have been satisfied with that ending as well.

i absolutely agree. And although this is a drama we are watching real life for others dramatized. So many people that live with us and around us look like they have it together but they are one bump from falling apart.
I can say yes she is strong and at the same time weak.
strong to handle it all on her own but in that there is weakness. But sometimes we don't have a choice but to carry our own burden because friends, family and those around us can be very judgemental and cause us more damage.
