All Done - I definitely felt like I went on this journey with them. This was great story-telling.

FL - Her most beautiful aspect was her character, - wise, humble, she knew when to speak, when to stay silent, she viewed the whole picture before making judgments . She was truly a graceful presence in this series.

ML - Loyal, honorable, dedicated, stubborn with reason at the same time - open minded and willing to change. The actor for ML - did an amazing job. He delivered the very different aspects of this character very well.

Side characters - were not overplayed, they contributed greatly to the story
This series gave us a few new things to see - the creativity was great. From sudden deaths and alluring intimacy - they delivered.

I would not rate this a 10 - but it is definitely 8.5-9. LOL, I haven't decided yet.
But it will definitely go on my REWATCHABLE list

I totally forgot about the marriage switch, Fanfan was totally selfish, and definitely not meant to be a leader or protector of the people. She was very naive to think her father changed and would accept a child from a man that he still considered a stableman. Zhi was even more naive, but he was blinded by his dedication to his wife. At the end of the day - their relationship was peaceful yet toxic at the same time - they had an unhealthy dedication to each other and it destroyed their vision of the world, - they could only see themselves.

He can not beat a whole army - this was his only option which left an open door for other options.

Xiao Tao & Duangthe writers are really a bunch of thieves. They gave us what could have been a beautiful love story then they took it back with a bunch of unnecessary and nonsense writing. All we needed was for XaioTao & Duang to have a simple wedding💍💒💍 and give us some more walks and smiles. But they had to be extra and go all over the place and BEYOND with their simple love story. Such a disappointment

the political intrigue was over taken by the tit for tat, trying to break up the alliance. That was annoying for me. I would have preferred something more mature and strategic.

Ci & Manman are they siblings or cousins. they've used both terms interchangeably. He called her dad , dad. So I am assuming they are siblings. Was it just mistranslated when they said cousin?
