I'm not sure if I should watch it.. I liked Guan Yue in some of his previous dramas, but he isn't ml... someone please tell me is his character evil? or just a third wheel? how much screen time does he have?
Overall it was an okay one time watch. It's not something I would recommend anybody to watch though.maybe I have…
a general list of warnings for those of you considering watching this: violence (it's scattered in whole drama), gore (ep 1, 4 and 7 are the more extreme ones, ep 16), rape (2 and 21) SA (ep 15, 25) suicide (ep 16)
Overall it was an okay one time watch. It's not something I would recommend anybody to watch though. maybe I have watched too many dramas/movies with horrible characters, either way I don't find the violence in this drama something specially traumatizing. does it need trigger warnings? Absolutely!
as if watching Hanyi telling Sato his love story wasn't funny and absurd enough, they suddenly show Sato being all touched and teary eyed! come on, this was too funny!!
It was interesting at first but became boring in second half. I don't dislike the contrast of using female empowerment…
it was all a dream... the dream part didn't really bother me that much since there wasn't any romance but It would've been better if we got some interaction between fl and the child actors. they were brats in their first meeting and fl was arrogant as well, it would've been nice to see how fl's change of heart about kids fix their communication issue.
It was interesting at first but became boring in second half. I don't dislike the contrast of using female empowerment and all but I don't enjoy too much insertion of modern values in ancient setting. it was too much that killed the vibe for me. Although I like the actor, ml could as well be listed as a support role, he didn't have much presence even when he was there!
I know it's been 3 months since you posted this comment but if you remember this drama, can you please spoil the ending to me? I just watched ep7 and I'm not sure if I should continue.. how crazy is the ex?
I just finished watching this drama, It wasn't bad. Though it's not as good to make me want to re-watch it. I…
I think the whole anle identity reveal could've come earlier, although I enjoyed fl's refreshing aspect, it was dragged for too long. the actress that played the fake Ziyuan was very dull... I skipped her scenes as much as I could and her lack of facial expression makes it hard to figure if she meant it when she finally got free of all the drama! I felt bad for the poor guy who fell for her!
I was starting to doubt if I should drop it when finally the secrets of the past surfaced and made me continue.. my 2 interesting parts were the whole evidence reveal and Anning's statement about the emperor's mother and the killing of that official that lead to Wen Shuo's real identity.
the whole war process made my blood boil... I felt bad for Anning.. she deserved better than that... I hated how she died.. it made me angry rather than sad.

It wasn't a satisfying type of revenge drama in my opinion..
Initially I thought that her plan was working way too smoothly for someones who just got back in society. the second was better.. then it went downhill...
what happened to having fake identity? what did you expect to happen when you make Sora meet her at the usual hang out location?? of course she would go there.. Sora's death was nothing but the result of the sloppy revenge plan. don't get me started with the streamer guy! she went to his house and didn't expect a spy cam? Jin contacting him prior to that was also stupid.. considering the past connection it made him be alerted!
what was with that long speech during the live stream in last episode? does she really think his subscribers care about what she says? it was unnecessary and she should've stopped the live, deleted his channel and just burned him already.
am I supposed to feel sad for a rapist's suicide?? I don't! he ruined her life and didn't even regret it and worse than that he was still raping and blackmailing others. and I hated how Jin acts all concerned and tells her that her revenge made him choose death!! as if he was some random innocent stranger.
It's my first time seeing fl and I'm impressed with her acting. she is absolutely great. ml though... his acting isn't as good... in some scenes his facial expressions are too much that makes it comical instead of emotional.

you'd better not get attached to any character, cause many will die!
only fl and gu lady stays alive.

regarding the ending... (in spoiler)
is it worth a watch? how is the end for his chatacter? I don't mind spoilers.

the last 5 or 6 episodes felt like fillers..
the second was better..
then it went downhill...
