Ben's acting is a bit distracting sometimes... That said, I really like where this series is going. The story…
I also think Man is doing a great job as the composed and calm older boss. Pat is a hot mess so he’s all over the place

That translation of whatever Pat said to the gross guy was offensive and non-applicable. "straight white male"?…
I already said my part about Jeng’s management on my post so I’ll tackle the BL part here.

Even though I’m also yearning for more scenes between Jeng and Pat with more gay intensity , I like how they’re setting it up. They’re definitely attracted to one another in episode 1, and episode 2 is showing how they are separating personal life from professional life. I like the slow burn. It’s a refreshing change from the current office BLs. They both need to learn to respect one another and I’m sure the love will blossom. I can’t wait for it.

Jeng was out of line when he told Pat to cool it with Nan, He should have had that discussion with her, not him…
I don’t think he knows how truly toxic the work place is. Often, the higher ups don’t know unless it is reported to them. I doubt anyone reported them since their clique is pretty obnoxious for bullying others. He talked to Ying about how she made Pat do her work so that showed he does care about the work environment.

The situation with Nan, it’s true that he should also talk to her since she definitely got too close with Pat but I think they might play it off as him being jealous. I don’t think he was being out of line but perhaps just unfairly putting the responsibility on Pat. He told Pat to be professional and not so chummy with a trainer. They were hanging out all the time and sharing food. Sure, it’s nothing important in our eyes but that work place is full of shit heads who made it into a big deal. They probably said that Pat was getting special training and attention so that’s why he got the brand project. Jeng doesn’t want them to discredit Pat’s talent..

If y’all thought Daddy Jeng was harsh, y’all have not worked in a competitive work environment.

The delivery of his criticism towards Pat have been very professional and kind. He always praises him first before asking him to improve. He’s not wrong at all. Not a lot of bosses will do that. Those in authority have no hesitation to be merciless when it comes to achieving profit.

Pat is talented but very young. He certainly needs to improve and cope better with the work environment. Don’t worry, Daddy Jeng will make it all better.

Fuck P’Ying and the other Sneaky snakes.

Episode 2 was frustating as heck. First because of Ying, then the nosy employer, Jeng and then Pat?! Wow. Jeng…
I don’t think Jeng was overboard with his criticism of Pat at all. In fact, he was actually very kind in the way he worded his criticism. He was extremely constructive, and always started each of his remarks with praises for Pat first. Not a lot of managers or bosses will do that. We’ve seen so many series, gay or straight, where the bosses don’t care to explain themselves before exerting authority over their employees. However, in this case, Jeng has shown that he wants Pat to grow as a person as well as an employee. He’s actually trying to empower Pat by giving him the tools that he needs to improve himself. He has not talked down to him nor has he discredit him. for anything.

Totally agree. Although I criticized Pat for his childish behaviors, I am very much rooting for him. I absolutely love that he’s showing so much vulnerability and potential room for growth. I love a good character development. Their dynamic is what I live for. I love that Jeng is tough and firm but also gentle and kind. I love that even though Pat is immature, he’s not afraid to ask why and why not.

Yes, his work environment is completely toxic. No argument there. It’s run on a seniority rule by moronic bullies. However, he was not forced to come out. He bought the flowers himself to try and dispute the dating rumor with Nan. However, that backfired, and got the nosy coworker to be even more into his business. What Pat could have done was control his emotions and tell that coworker to back off. That coworker pestering him is undeniably disgusting, but no one forced him to come out. In fact, I did not like how that scene played
out.

He definitely has the right to have emotions and be upset, but crying is only going to make his colleagues discredit him- just as Jeng said. There are better ways to deal with the pressure from work but the way he constantly cried (not just once but many times), is only going to make him appear weak and vulnerable which are the sole reasons why they bully him.

Same! I’m enjoying the actors, story & chemistry. Maybe I’m bias because Jeng is sooo fine
