I’m not Korean so I can’t speak for their people, but it’s not a good thing to show so casually as if it’s expected in their culture. It’s seen in the work place and school settings in almost all their dramas. Then, we get infinite news of idols bullying others etc. I like the seniority culture where you respect your elders but they need to distinguish respect and abuse of authority. Have you seen Misaeng? That boiled my blood. The Glory is such a satisfying drama to deal with such abuse.
I like how the show contrasted the difference between young love and mature love. How GX and LC grew up and realized…
Yes! I adored the progression of their relationship as well as their characters. It’s a very good message to show how trivial things can be when we’re young and inexperienced but as you mature and grow in life, you prioritize the more important values. I love the calmness of the series. I love how she understands him so much more now and appreciates him. Same goes for him. He’s absolutely madly in love with her.

Totally off topic, but it’s utterly disgusting to see series where the higher ups physically and mentally abuse their employees in the most inhumane ways. HR in S. Korea is a joke, right?
yup...that scene, I cried with Jing Boran. this drama is a bit slow and melodrama-ish but I feel their pain.
Agreed. I don’t think it’s slow either but I think most people are used to dramas having crisis left and right so this pacing may seem slow to them. I absolutely adore these types of dramas that are only focused on the main leads.

You have to try and understand that even if people offer to help, most people don’t want to receive it. Therapy is not for everyone. There are many reasons why people don’t trust/believe in receiving therapeutic treatments. Therapy takes time. People have to learn to cope their losses and overcome the pain. In this case, the pain consumed the mother so even if she was receiving therapy, she couldn’t deal with reality any more. I am not arguing that S Korea has a stigma against mental health. I am not disagreeing that people should have helped her. I am trying to state that the mother should not be judged that harshly for her actions. You said you disliked the mother for abandoning her adopted son.
I didn't merely dislike the Aunt, I also disliked the mother. Consider how her adopted son was worried that she…
Hmmm. Let’s not decide to judge the mother that harsh. Postpartum depression is a bitch. The grief of losing a child that you carried that far along is enough for darkness to consume a mother to death. She could not cope with the pain. The mind is the most fragile part of our bodies. When you lose your mind, your body literally deteriorates.

I actually appreciate the steady pacing. It’s not packed with stupid unnecessary drama but developing their characters/relationships so it’s very enjoyable. It’s like a warm blanket on a cold rainy day.
Not Phu having sheer straight phobia having to touch a woman. Somebody hold his hair while he pukes at the thought of Gina.
Why did I laugh so hard when Nan promised to make Phu and his beans famous? He was like, I got you boo. You and your beans. We’ll take over the world, one bean at a time.
The push and pull is giving me stress, y’all. Like, I’m about to jump through the screen and be nosy Nancy up in their business.
I’m on ep 13 and honestly…. I’m really loving this series. It’s refreshing to see a mature relationship between adults. I’m enjoying the slow and steady pacing. It’s focusing on the main leads instead of distracting us with useless side characters. I love that they’re so madly in love with one another and the romance is to die for. I’m hoping it doesn’t disappoint.
Aww bestie here we go again 😞. A new show starts and we both drop it after the first episode. This is quickly…
Aww you too? I figured. It is depressing but there are a good amount of series I’m still watching so I’m not too disappointed. It’s only March! See ya!

son.
Stressed the fuck out for TH, y’all.
An army of evil messiah.
🤣😫🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Whoever said Jing Boran has one expression needs to be tied to a ticking bomb because my man didn’t come to play.

Jing Boran is phenomenal as Lu Chen.
DY having an entire episode of sheer gay panic is adorable. That slo mo push was so dramatic but I’m here for it.
