Ya I am watching both shows simultaneously and I get your concern but she plays a mature character that suits her age and acts very well here.
The problem with ALSB is she has to act to be too squeaky and cutesy and she is visibly older than the ML. I do think that part gets better there as you watch but here you should not worry about her at all. She even has good chemistry with the one she is paired up with in this one!

So were the fillers in the C-drama version fun? Are the characters more likable here or there- I am guessing based on what you said the C-drama one showcased better chemistry.

Also a very important question- was there more development in the JIn Hwan and Ha Young love story there? I don't quite like Jin Hwan's overly possessive and clingy attitude,

I don't watch C-dramas so obviously I have not checked out the original, but I keep seeing comments saying that the ML is softer in this adaptation (which I am guessing is a good thing). I am curious so I have to ask, are there any major plot points skipped here or are there other factors which make the original superior?

YES! Made a little more sense if he did not allow boys to hug her (I know it still sounds ridiculous) but it is her FEMALE best friend! I really feel she could have done better was not happy to see they are getting married in the next episode lol

Ya I agree with this part. I have not seen the Chinese drama so I have nothing to compare it too and so I really am enjoying the drama except Jin Hwan and Ha Young's romance. I feel like she was guilty of not liking him back when he was admitted and thus she said yes to him- He is too clingy and out of all the characters has developed the least or not developed at all. The no-hugging part is simply weird!

When he was sitting with the husband at the bar I thought we’d get a better insight but they are keeping this mystery going, I do think they are gay though maybe secretly together and that’s why he wants to know the wife well so they can tell her nicely at one point but I don’t know of what I’m saying is making sense lol

Ya I agree with her not taking any initiative specifically towards Jae Won- hoping they don’t suddenly get together at the end or atleast have an open ending

Yes! For the first time I’m excited for the next episode in this drama: till now I was quite patiently taking it as it comes

Till now I was enjoying the slow ride the drama was taking us in but the ending of episode 8 had me grinning! I think this was the best episode so far

Yes! He has great character development- I think by the end of the drama we will be pleasantly surprised as to how far he has come
