Both kdramas that I’m excited for, King The Land and See you in my 19th Life, are releasing on 17th June. For some reason, they are releasing much later in my country; King the Land on JULY 13TH, and SYIM19L on JUNE 29TH.
I like supporting all shows and watching them on the licensed platforms. I also dislike the drop in the display quality that comes with watching stuff on illegal sites. Seems like I’m left with no option this time. This has never happened before with a kdrama releasing much later than it’s airdate. Is this happening everywhere outside of South Korea? Any idea why?

About the SFL, she simply irks me too.
I don’t dislike the ML as much, but yes he did seem to have his own issues and more than anything lacked the courage to speak up to her about how he felt in their marriage. Making his partner feel like he cheated on her when it goes completely against her principles and later revealing that he felt like marriage wasn’t for him and listing reasons that point at her lack of adjustment in marriage. This part annoyed me because it was he who never seemed to communicate about how he felt which is literally key for any relationship to work. I get that problems in a marriage or any relationship aren’t just one-sided, but why could he never talk to her honestly? I think there is more to his reasons or at least I hope there might be as that would make more sense.
And yes I agree with you, of course the FL will be angry seeing him be with the SFL. For years she thought he cheated on her with the SFL, only to find out that wasn’t true, and then to see the same woman now with the ML. It would definitely hurt and the back and fourth in the situation would make anyone angry! How will they ever recover from this?
Might be an unpopular opinion or it isn’t I don’t know but I realllly wouldn’t mind if they take the route of the FL ending up with the SML. He seems to get her and also to be the kind to openly communicate if he has issues. However, if the ML starts dating the one he had the fake affair with, I’m not game I don’t know why. I would rather they introduce a new love interest for him as well or none at all.
I always knew he didn’t cheat but the reasoning really made me feel for the FL. Imagine someone lying about having an affair just to get a divorce. That’s a lot. The key here was communication. If he had addressed his issues, maybe they could have worked things out. Also, he really seems to like children, so the point about the baby didn’t add up. I think there’ll be something more there which they might reveal later.
At the end if the 2 leads do resolve things, which I think will happen, I really am curious as to how they’d reach that point and reconcile. All things aside, they do have great chemistry!
For anyone scrolling through comments to decide whether they should watch this or not, simply GO FOR IT!
It’s super romantic and the characters are well-written. There is an angst period in between but in my opinion the pay off made it worth it. If you’re into noona romances, this fits the bill in all ways!

In this drama however, she is clearly uninterested since the very beginning. Might I reaffirm, not confused, but simply uninterested. With the King, we could see instant attraction from her end.
S2 really just added new rules to their world as and when the plot required them (S1 did this too, but lesser in comparison). The funniest was them not taking their own rules seriously - the oh-so dangerous Gwido prison seems like a park for all mages to go and come as they please in the last 2 episodes.

I felt like even in season 1 she doesn’t get to do much except training our main man and helping the course of his development. They could have gone for a more ruthless version of her as teased and shown her to actually betray more people to gain her powers back but be conflicted at some point due to her love angle or something. Since the beginning, her passion to regain her strength drops more and more; by the 30th episode of this journey, she’s as you said, a mere sidekick. Honestly it’s a waste.

For true beauty I actually enjoyed the dynamic she had with Seojun more as well, I felt she was freer and Suho was overly possessive.
