True but the subs there are catastrophic they're definitely AI made don't recommend watching it there you'll just…
It differs from show to show. Iqiyi has their fair share of bad subs too. Viki is still the best since they are fan submitted (but this show is not on viki). Although on rare occasion others are better than viki, such as the IQ sub for why r u is actually better than viki's
The current episode settings is around the early 2000s. It is a different period back then.
While outlawed, old habits die hard honestly. It is not just korea, teachers hitting students are quite common in asia honestly. But times are changing but it will take a while to be completely eliminated. In my country, back then, parents wouldnt say anything because caning kids at home are common too. Now, we call the new generation overprotected because teachers do not even dare to hit students because of the new generation of parents.

BLs ratings are usually not as high as normal drama. This is kind of expected. The first few days are usually the fans rating high, and it usually drop after a while and stabalise eventually. LFLS is so far the only KBL to actually have rating increases after the initial rating.

the show currently take place in the early 2000s, so the society is still not very open yet. doesnt excuse his behavior, but during that time period, im sure many people do not know how to deal with their same sex feelings

only viki's is fan translate. for the others, no. but for the non fan translation, the sub quality differs from show to show. for gaga and iq, the chinese/taiwan translation is usually not bad since they are based in taiwan and china. but for japanese and korean, some time you get a good sub, some time you get a bad sub.
im really not a fan of all the relevant people conveniently understanding thai. is it that hard for the studio to let the thai actor speak in korean, even if it is broken? this is the same studio that give us peach of time, which has side characters that do not understand thai, and have the actor speaking in broken korean to the side characters. but it is definitely better than love cat.
