XB warmed up to her in the moment when he realized that she was promised to him to be married one day and he really fell in love with her, remember that moment when they met at the medical sage, how he looked at her, when she tried to defend herself. There's nothing wrong for him wanting to solve finally this matter with longevity nut at his wedding, he's a hegemon after all, but she was planning to get married to him even if she knew that her past self had an affair with QY and not to mention QY coming to her room in the nights and stealing kisses.

I don't think XB betrayed her. He couldn't give her all what she wanted, a sacrificing, mad love like QY, but it doesn't mean he didn't love her. She actually betrayed him, by choosing QY in the end, even after she pursued the righteous leader and wished so much to marry him.

I just started the drama but I kinda ship her with the Suzrain, the one with the bun. I can't take the other guy…
XB the suzerain is my fave in the story, though I enjoy the leads chemistry too.
The righteous hegemon is too good for her. June Wu who plays him is really cute and has a sweet voice, even if he's not that tall like Li Hongyu.
