Yes. I'm still hopeful we see the drama before the end of 2020. I really wish the drama could just be broadcast overseas, but because of censorship I don't think China would ever allow a drama to be broadcast only internationally and not first in China. In my dream, this drama is sold to Netflix and seen worldwide, China broadcast not needed. Of course, that will never happen.

Totally bad timing. To be honest, I'm not sure how involved is the general public's viewpoint on this issue. However, when people start threatening to harm themselves, well, that gets airplay in mainstream news outlets. So my heart just sunk because I knew there was strong possibility for the drama to get delayed. I still have hope that the drama will air in 2020, but probably in the autumn months when hopefully things have cooled down for the general public.

It has to do with Xiao Zhan's fans. Apparently, some of his fans objected to a fanfiction story about him and things snowballed from there. Even though it was his fans causing issues, the actor is still tainted by association. Avenue X did a video about it.
